I'm not a big person by any means (5'1", 140lbs) but I carry my weight all in my butt and thighs. I even have issues on Racer. That is my only trouble spot at KI. At Cedar Point, I have issues with barely fitting on multiple rides. It's not a matter of how much you weigh or how tall you are (assuming lap bars only), its where you carry it

Very crowded again. Diamondback was posted at 20 minutes but it took us 40. Banshee is a solid 30 as well.

We are hoping to hit up Kings Dominion Wednesday so Rebel Yell is definitely on my list. Carowinds is just about neck and neck with Kings Island for me with Fury there. The shorter lines every time I've been there make it a much more pleasant experience.

My daughter (8) and I had a chance to spend some time at Carowinds before meeting up with family last Friday, 06/26. We landed around 11:30 so after getting the rental car, we hit the park about 12:15/12:30. We headed straight for Fury 325. There was a good amount of cars in the parking lot so I expected bit of a line but it was a walk on. I think the 100 degree weather kept most people on the wet side for the afternoon. We got the second row and the ride was just OK. The first drop takes your breath away and the transitions are quick but I just wasn't blown away right off The Bat. We circled around for another walk on ride. Row 5 this time and it was a bit better. A little more air time and being yanked over the hills. Rides 3 and 4 were in the back row. W.O.W. took it to my second favorite ride ever (Maverick, front row is still the best). My daughter said Millennium Force is still better so its #3 for her (she's a Maverick girl too) but still loved it. We ended up with 8 Fury rides in our 5.5 hours in the park. We got on every other ride with under 5 minute waits except for Nighthawk. My daughter loved it when we came last year but it had a 30 minute wait and we didn't feel like standing in the heat for it. Afterburn was closed last year on our trip but we got to try it out this time. I don't get the appeal. Those restraints just kill me (as does Raptor) making the ride really unenjoyable. I love Banshee for the vests! We took a Thunder Road ride while back there. I'll miss that ride in our next visit. I personally like it better than Racer! All in all, we had a great trip and got to enjoy a nice park with no lines. The food was excellent too. Their meal plan options are superior to all the other parks plus you can enjoy some delicious Crab Fries! Harmony Hall is a great place to enjoy a meal too. Tons of options in one place, cool A/C, and a nice bar area. The Beast POV was playing on the gigantic screen and everyone was in awe of it. Hoping the Festhaus maybe gets transformed into that. Another note- since there was extreme heat, they had trays of 16oz cups of ice water set out at every food stand. No waiting in line just for a cup. It was great!

No Loose Articles in the Banshee Station
ohioparksrock replied to Young Gunz's topic in Kings Island
I wear them because I have completely flat feet, prodruding bones on my heel, and crazy hot feet. They're the only shoes that don't hurt! I'm glad they'll let us keep them in the station again. I do wish all the other rides adopted a no bin policy though. -
The tent set up looks pretty impressive. There's not much room to walk around the path and it'll only get narrower with people in it but the food tents look awesome!

It takes a special person to work in Planet Snoopy and Kings Island has found a lot of them! My daughter is more into Diamondback then Woodstock Express anymore but when we do hit up a ride there, nearly all the workers are awesome.

Really, he did that. Those of us watching kept telling him that's why the train wasn't going and he kept blowing us off. Not very bright!

Saturday, a guy was on Top Thrill with his hands up and a camera in one of them. They kept telling him to put it away and it led to a long delay. The other people on the train were very annoyed (as they should be) but that could've caused some serious injury.

71 to 13 in Mansfield will get you there in 3.5 hours.

I emailed the park with no response yet- anyone know if you can buy tix at the event?

Tasted like provolone to me -

PACKED today

"See those people walking off xyz ride? They didn't die, did they? You won't either!"

This is what I was referring to. Sandcastle Suites isn't priced too badly for the amount of space. You could easily fit all 7 in one room.
-
Breakers Express is reasonably priced, close to the park, you get early entry (can knock out at least three "big" rides then), and you get resort rate admission. If you have a gold pass, I believe you get a discount as well (use promo PASS). As far as two days, maybe consider just a Starlight on one day, stay the night, and then do a full day the second day. Tuesdays and Wednesdays seem to be least crowded!

I've been lucky to have a kid who rode Millennium Force at age 5 and rides everything but Drop Tower now (I won't ride it either!). Her friends who have had passes since they were little will barely ride anything even now at age 8-10. The non riders are the kids who aren't quite as logical as she is though. They all tend to be more artsy and don't want to understand the science behind a ride.
