Your cane will be fine. Once you get to the top of the platform to ride, simply pass it on to one of the ride operators and they will store it for you. Since the cane won't fit into a locker, and you need it for support, to walk, etc you are allowed to keep it with you. Enjoy your time at the park and your ride on Mystic! I highly doubt they would do an RMC conversion of racer... But I do think they're going to be remodelling it and refreshing it. That thing is falling apart. Sent from my ONEPLUS A5010 using Tapatalk

I'm the same way. I always ask if they have a preference on where they sit. I'm at Mystic, and we tend to have a decent amount of green sheets come up our exit. If people want the front, the wait is usually longer, so we block the row off after the current line for the front, so they're waiting the same amount as everyone else. It's sad that people with green sheets have to deal with people getting mad at them. They're waiting the same as everyone else. Sent from my ONEPLUS A5010 using Tapatalk

Green boarding passes are for guests who are unable to wait in the normal line due to a disability or other body injury. When they come to the ride OP/worker, thebassociate gives them a time that they can board. They take the current time and add the current wait time of the ride to it. It allows them to "stand in line" without actually waiting in the line. But they still have to wait as long as everyone else. Sent from my ONEPLUS A5010 using Tapatalk

I know this thread is for 2018, but I have a feeling that Invertigo will be removed within the next few seasons... Sent from my ONEPLUS A5010 using Tapatalk

Everything I've heard about the leveling of the store and potato Works says it's going to be a new restaurant. There isn't any sit down restaurants in the Coney mall area and the restaurants that are there arent always open anyways. Sent from my XT1575 using Tapatalk

+1. I work on this ride and the station and break run are actually sloped to move the train forward by gravity. The words are level with the ground but as stated before the shed is the Crooked one Sent from my XT1575 using Tapatalk

Kings Island announcement was confirmed to be later this year. It should be coming after the end of daily operation (this Sunday). So sometime in the coming weeks/months after that Kings Island has their announcement for the 2018 season. Sent from my XT1575 using Tapatalk -
Why do B&Ms click at the bottom of the hill
evy0311 replied to Mystic.Timber1's topic in Kings Island
Diamondback does click at the bottom of the lift though. As each train leaves the station, there is a very loud and distinct click. It's actually very cool to hear after you've ridden it a bunch of times. I'm not sure if it's also the antirollback devices as they pass over something in the track or what. I would love to see Dino's go and bring in a big expansion to the Coney mall area. Most of Coney mall is taken up by games on the midways, so the only area to put more flat rides would be where Dino's is. I've had a gold pass for years and have never gone to see Dino's. Hopefully they do being a Coney mall expansion. Sent from my XT1575 using Tapatalk

I've always noticed this too. It gives them a very distinct sound from other coasters. Sounds dope though, especially on Diamondback, but I'm not sure why they do this. Sent from my XT1575 using Tapatalk -
Update: So I have the basic UI for the app done. Need to add in all of the features now/(store passes, etc). It'll be done before summer season.

I plan on getting the app out through social media, forums, etc. Also, I have thought about iOS, however I was planning on doing it cross-platform. One HTML5 app made to work on both iOS and Android.
-
It could be people who use the app for a certain amount of time. It wouldn't be exact wait times per ride, but an average wait time. So it would say "average wait for all rides: 30min" so someone can tell if the park is busy or not. Another way would be to see how many people check into the park that day and then tell whether or not it's busy.
-
Two ways to get around this: one, have verified users who are allowed to submit wait times, or two, write code that will reason out the times. If every ride has a long wait time but someone submits a 0min time, then it'll desigard it. But the verified users is easier.
-
I currently code my apps using an HTML5 codebase (for cross-platform implementation). But its strictly code. I would use Android studio and xCode but to do two separate apps for me as one person would be a great deal of work.
-
Well based on all of the positive feedback it seems like a lot of people would want the app. Ill get working on it tonight and let you know what I come up with. I'll make sure to have it done before the end of May (When the theme parks are all open throughout the week). If anyone else has any other suggestions let me know!
-
The advantage to this one, other than the ones offered by parks, would be that you would only need this one to use to store all passes, get wait times for all parks, and even directions, etc. It wouldn't require several apps for many parks. And yes, the pass would be able to be stored in the app for several different parks. Potential other features would be tracking the amount of times you ride a certain coaster, see how much time you spend in the park, and then the app would gather info on the best time to go to the parks based on user submitted wait times.
-
Agreed. I wouldn't put in annoying ads. So this app would be useful and would benefit people even not at the Kings Island park. Does anyone have any features they'd like to see in the app that i haven't mentioned?
-
I wouldn't put intrusive ads in. I myself hate them as well. They'd be small ads at the bottom of the home screen and possible other places but no pop up ads or anything. Would you be interested in submitting ride times through the app as well?
-
Cost for me to make, or cost for people to buy? I plan on making it free with ads and then a 99 cent version to remove them

Hello all. Im currently in the works of an app. It would be a set of tools for theme parks around the USA (and possible Canada, etc) to get directions, food, hotels, and even store all of your passes inside the app. Would anyone use this? And does anyone have ideas for features?
