haha forgot about my baby Back-lot. So and with out the launches... never mind, that would just be Adventure Express. Do doses that rule out a family coaster? humm... How many family coasters are "enough" ? I'm beginning to see how well rounded our park really is.

I'm so hyped reading this! Too bad I can't get to the park till after finals week. I vote for a Verbolten style coaster! I am down voting a dark ride in this location because the big box, a remake of boo blasters, or using the old theater by race's turn around sound like much more obvious choices. also down voting the giga because of personal preference of location. lastly I hope the log flume doesn't leave us, but it comes down to a lot more than my personal preference and I can also see it on the way out.

The Beast Family coaster ( new coaster) : a family version to The Beast that's more tamed (smooth) for grandparents to grand-kids. But with similarities to The Beast like being buried in the deep woods, shoot for length (longest coaster, maybe), something that has gets more thrilling as it goes so you never feel like you can let your guard down. Realistically I see a new thrilling flat ride going in. But what type and from whom?

This used to be my home park. Its really sad to see the park in this way and I can still see picture walking down the midways, playing in the nets, and riding my first big coasters. I would love to see this park come back but as a park that could complement Cedar Point and not work against it. A park made for the locals in mind. But I know its all a dream, but that's where everything starts at, right?

So I have an idea for the crypt box. A themed play area (adventure path). One with nets, slides and nice rock work to make it feel like a mine shaft or cave or crypt. This idea started as a free play kind of setting but then developed to a adventure path going one way using slides to set up one way flow. The adventure path would start with a thrilling elevator ride to the top level than work its way to the ground level with many different paths to choose from. Each path could have unique surprises or themes. This could be set up so everyone in the family (kid to grandparent) could go through together with short cuts to the slides or obstacle that some people may find challenging/dislike but still have everyone actively involved in the adventure. Influences to this idea: Geauga Lake & Sea World nets COSI adventure City Museum Indiana Beach Frankenstein's castle I realize some of the disadvantages that need to be addressed would be: liability to the guest, fire escapes, building constraints, size constraints.(what did I miss?) What do you think?

Its a long shot but I can see a remodeled version of shoot the rapids in river town. Replace the lagoon at Cedar Point with our train tracks there may be a good fit. all of the concrete can not be moved and reused but the two lifts and drops, and station parts can. so save what you can and rebuild so it works this time and you got a new ride, maybe save some money and make its life at Cedar Point not so much of a flop.

Log Ride? The current one is kinda small and I think more for kids, maybe we have a more thrilling one coming. Or highly themed one? I think tomb raider building is kinda a stretch to use. Plus I like the idea of a giga going from the sob station to the parking lot and then next to the front gate and back again. So i'm voting not a giga for this project. our luck, the giga will be after cp builds there second one (plans replaced by Gatekeeper)

My thoughts on improvements I would like to see: new trains: It kills me to see people that are too big to ride, and i'm a skinny guy but I'll admit I am not a fan of the restraint and seat size reduce the trim brakes : there is a lot of pro con here with maintenance costs, comfort to the general guest and even state regulations of the rate that G-force is applied (or the jerk of the second drop) I still like the Idea of a large scale refurbish of the ride and extending the coaster at the end of ride about the length of The Racer. This is something I don't know if any park has ever done.

so a second giga-coaster for Cedar Point was in the works but they went with Gatekeeper. I would have never seen that coming.

In no particular order: 1) Water coaster like the mammoth at holiday world in the water park 2) giga from sob station to parking lot to main gate. with a huge loop and use the hillside over by The Bat to add height to the drop with a top speed over 100 3) Test roller coaster expansion on Adventure Express. low to ground and keep it a family thrill ride, theming is nice too 4) haunted house with a drop park in the Crypt, 5) expansion of The Beast, new trains, don't change current track but add on to existing layout 6) car ride between the eiffel tower and back lot, bridges over the walking paths and lots of low maintenance gardens 7) sky ride from the tower gardens to the wind seeker, over half of coney mall 8) huge playground for any age in Planet Snoopy where the petting zoo is currently, look at old pictures of Geauga lake play grounds for scale 9)Ferris wheel where the 3pt shot is next to The Racer, good sight line with the front of the park and half of coney mall 10) the whip ride inside of kill-mart I love to brainstorm new rides and attractions. I'm currently throwing some ideas around for after dino-alive is gone. what to do in that area and try to reuse the paths. I like these ideas: -turning one racer backwards -wild mouse roller coaster in crypt (I do like spinning coasters tho) -enterprise -upgrade boo hill -adding theming to the rides like bat cave to The Bat and snake in the splash down (I'm a sucker for well themed stations and queue lines)

I think this would be a ton of fun to have a winter tour of the park. Maybe a quick tour of the maintenance shops, sign/carpentry shop, see the work in the water park, the scrap yard(kinda far and by its self). Pretty much anything behind the scenes.

Should KI plant pumpkins in the Great Pumpkin coaster infield? (were grass is currently) I would like to hear some of your opinions. Pro- cheap theming, don't have to cut the grass, something to look at each visit on the way to Diamondback. Con-I have heard pumpkins need to be contained or they take over everything.

No it's not a wood coaster, it's a hybrid. I was just thinking a new track altogether would improve the ride experience. So Topper track, and add wood under that, or I-Box track. I just like the look of topper track over I-box, at least for Adventure Express.

Did I miss a rumor? I thought the park was doing good and planed to open a new coaster next year.

So funny story... My trip to Great America I forgot about the time change and i'm use to getting up at the break of dawn. So I arrived 2 hours or more before the park opened and the gates to the parking lot weren't even open yet. So being that early I had to wait for the: Parking gates, Ticket booths, security gates/ front gate, the park to open, Goliath to open, and the Goliath to reopen after a break down. Then finally a great ride and a very fun rest of the day. I learned my lesson after that trip, a little planning goes a long way.

Six Flags Great America: Cost: 25 dollars for parking! and another 70 to get in the door. I didn't do any preplaning and in the park I learned that I could have gotten half off for buying my ticket with someone who had a season pass. Also met a family that spent less for a season pass than I did for my one day ticket. Coasters: This park has a ton of them! I spent my whole day only riding coasters and only missed the indoor coaster The Dark Night. I was very impressed with there coasters, they had some great B&M's. Vipper and Whizzer were huge surprises. I really enjoyed Goliath and really wish I could have rode that a couple more times. I absolutely loved superman! I could talk about these coasters for hours and wish this park was closer to home. I'm jealous to who ever calls this their home park. Theming: I didn't know this park was themed. Even the coasters were very well immersed into their theme. Best example is the station for the Batman is in the Batcave! Some parts of the park were done much better than others but overall I was very impressed. Things In The Area: There is a lot around the park and made eating out of the park very easy. But the tolls and traffic kinda got to me on the way to the park, I took a different way home but traffic was just as bad. Other: Looked like the park had a good amount of other attractions and classic rides, even tho I was there for the coasters. I rode the Whizzer as a single rider so I think that helps with that con. A Flash pass might be a good idea but this park seemed kinda pricey already as a college student. Overall this was a great park for the coasters. summary: Six Flags for the coasters Holiday world for a very fun / relaxing day ( and some great coasters)

I have had the pleasure to visit both of these parks this summer for the first time. Holiday world (I loved this park!) Coasters: Do you like The Beast? because the voyage is better! The Raven is a complete thrill and relentless. The Legend is unlike any coaster I have ever ridden, it is a complete fight with lateral G's every ride and in a good way. The Thunder bird is a better ride than X-Flight (my opinion) and my favorite wing coaster (I have ridden all of B&M's wing coasters in the US). Btw no flashpass was not a problem at all for my weekday trip. The Water Park: Ride the water coasters if you can! They were the best surprise of my summer and easily as good as the coasters. The water park I thought had great capacity, lines never seemed to stay still. Most of the rides are family rafts and a ton of them were doubles. My girl friend and I had a blast at the water park, even tho I came for the coasters Theming: It was a nice touch. But was not as extensive as I expected. But I still enjoyed it. Free,Free,Free: This I didn't think of much before my visit and thought it was just a good way to get people in the door by the park. But my opinion changed in the park, it was much more. I felt like the park cared about my visit and didn't want to just get all my money. The weather was high 90's and very humid. It looked to be a miserable day, but having Gatorade or Pepsi products around any turn made my day. My girl friend and I couldn't stop talking about how nice it was and were amazed that the park was spotless with all these free cups. Six Flags...

I GOT IT! RMC Adventure Express. But seriously it would be neat, not that AE is a bad ride or a rough ride but it could be a fun improvement. Or just keep the original layout, add topper track, and extend the coaster. like a family beast. Maybe if it goes well keep adding on to it with expansions every so many years. Trust me there is a ton of unused land that way, with some good hills. They could have a very fun coaster an never have to build very far off the ground. That means cheaper to build...so more expansions

I think it will stay as Planet Snoopy unless Cedar Fair Changes their brand. But, I see it all the time in the park: parents and kids not knowing the names of the characters. But maybe the new movie will change this.

RMC The Vortex. I don't know how this would work, but there is great plot of land there with woods. They could use the hill pretty easily but it maybe more challenging to use the steel pillars. If anyone could do it. It would be RMC... The name "The Hunter" sounds like a good coaster to go near The Beast. As for Woodstock I would love some trains I could fit in comfortably.
