The Serpent v.s. The Pepsi Python

Featured Replies

I know these two coasters have similar layouts with a few different changes and differnt dips and such but how do the two coasters compare? I really wish Park River wouldve held onto Americana/Lesourdsville or that they would do something to bring the screechin eagle to Coney or atleast some other good coaster or a nice small woodie.

I think it will be a long time before Coney gets a wooden coaster, regardless of how large or small it is. Granted, I think a ride similar to the Tornado at Stricker`s Grove would be an instant hit if Coney were to install something along those lines.

Sorry to say, but I never made it out to Americana/Lesourdsville Lake. So I never got to ride the Screachin Eagle so I cannot compare the two rides. Python is a fun little coaster with some very quick and sudden dips, but the brakes are applied rather hard at the end of the ride. It is definately a fun little ride, but nothing to write home about.

Python is better a lil more air time too:

Sure wish coney would get a wood coaster though:

I'm not a big fan of python, probably because the cars are so small I can't ride it without bumping my knees pretty good. I agree something like Tornado would do wonders for Coney, but that probably won't happen.
