coaster lover
Is it still closed or is it open?
Delirium33
It was closed today and from what I understand it will be for a while, maybe even the rest of the season. You can see some tomb themeing behind the ride from The Beast station. Does anyone know FOR SURE what it going on with the ride? Is it a maintenance thing, are they re-themeing the ride, or something else? I hope it opens soon. While the ride doesn't seem to be overly popular, I for one love the ride. BoddaH1994
I am NOT an insider on this one, but from what I've heard, they're just doing work on the ride. Themeing being removed is a typical thing because they need to be able to get equipment in there. All of the themeing is on wheels and can be removed very quickly and easily. tigellinus
Expect "Cave Top Spin" when (and *if*....right, SOB doubters?!) the ride formerly known as Tomb Raider: The Ride re-opens....

tigellinus
^^Yeah, it's themeing is being stripped!! You know, it *might* actually be a better ride this way since lack of proper themeing is more of a distraction than anything. But I agree with many others that, though it's cost prohibitive, if it has no theme they should remove the ceiling and walls to change up the experience.... The front themeing is rolled outside to make room for the JLG Lift to get inside the building. The ride is undergoing some... internal mechanical surgery... kjkjkj
Are they making a new ride program for it? Or are they fixing the theming. I hope it is both!
