Neon
Today I went to Kings Island! Me and my brother arrived around 9:30. After waiting, the crowd ran wild! The first ride we rode was the Son of Beast. We were the very first riders of the day! We sat in the very front. After that, we went to the Delirium, then Adventure Express, The Racer, then Flight of Fear. The Flight of Fear had the lights on all over the inside the building, which was great because I always wanted to see what Flight of Fear looked like in the light. Then it was lunch time. Our mom picked us up and we went to Wendy's for lunch. Then Kings Island again. We headed straight for The Racer. We did backwards and it was fun! So we did it again. And it was fun! Guess what? We went again! After the ride we always hoped that there was no line. Sometimes there was, and sometimes, there wasn't. We always tried to pick the very back cart because the front was too darn bumpy! Then my mom called which ended the fun. My brother counted that we rode 18 times, but I think we rode more than that. She wanted us to ride the Scrambler with us, but we ended up no doing so. Then she wanted to do SpongeBob 3-D, so we did so. And I hated it because at the beginning part where the captain comes and the people are supposed to say "Aye aye captain," it was too loud. Then the captain said "I can't hear you," tremendously loud. That part seriously [insert cuss word] me up. I decided to never do SpongeBob 3-D ever! It stinks anyways. So then we went home. The Interpreter
Great trip report. As one who is curious about such things, why did you all go to Wendy's for lunch? Any reasons in particular? Had you done this in the past? If not, why now?

welchce
I was also there today, August 14th. My friend was finally done with work for the summer and I was bored so we decided to go up there together. We got to the parking lot at about 11 and went to Boomerang Bay first since we were gonna meet some people from his family there. I haven't been to BB that early and there were barely any lines. We did Taz Typhoon x2, Cool Racers x2, Dwn Undr Thndr x2, Sydney Sidewinder, Bondi Pipeline, Awesome Aussie Twister, Crocodile Run all with little to no wait. We then ate our packed lunch in the parking lot and went over to the dry side at around 1:15. To let our food settle we hit up Fairly Odd Coaster. I think that may have been my last time on it because my knees were jammed into the front of the seat. Next we walked to the back of the park and double rode The Beast. It was fairly rough but still good overall. Then we walked past IJST which for some reason had a pretty decent line. Right as we turned the corner to go to The Vortex, an attendant moved a couple garbage cans which blocked the queue and we were on the first car to go out. I have no idea why it didn't open till then but it did and it was good. We rode in the back I've probably said it at least once so I'll say it again, great great GREAT air down the first hill. Then we took the 25 minute wait at FoF over the 45 minute wait at Firehawk. Racer in the last row on the blue car was more intense then I remember. Good fun. The next ride was both adventurous and expressive followed by a ride which was fairly delirious. Then we chose to ride SoB where I was expecting at least a half an hour wait. We got into line and there was basically no one there. For a second I thought the station was quarantined or something. We walked right to the last row and were second in line. We were on the blue train. The air down the first hill was good but the roughness at the bottom of the rose bowl could've been definitely done without. It was a lot rougher than any other time around this year. The helix around the base of the lift hill felt very smooth as was most of the ride except the rose bowl. We finished the day with Top Gun and Scooby-Doo and the Haunted Castle. We left around 4:30. It was a really good day with very few lines. The Interpreter
And another great report! First, Wendy's, this time a packed lunch. Cedar Fair, if you are listening, are you beginning to understand something must be wrong in foods? Either the food quality, the service, the pricing or some combination thereof. If you want higher per caps, you must find a way to not encourage people to leave the park to eat.
MrPKI
Interesting........I might as well put in that yesterday (8/13) when my friend and I visited, we packed a lunch as well. It's just too expensive to eat a full meal in the park. I only ever buy a snack or a drink.

welchce
I forgot to mention that the second half of the double ride today was my 20th ride on The Beast this year. I was pretty excited about that. Depending on what you believe for the duration of The Beast that's a lot of rolling and coasting. I know some people ride some rides that many times in one day but I feel pretty proud. Colonel_SoB_fan
I was there for a brief amount of time and I actually got beat up more on The Beast the Sonny. But only because that stupid lapbar went all the way down on my waist and locked on the first hill. Also why wasn't Drop Zone spinning? Neon
When they were testing Drop Zone, the seats didn't spin. I also noticed that the seats were moving up the tower faster than normal. Then the seats didn't drop. After about 5 min., the seats started to come down very super slowly. I don't know why all that weird stuff happened, but the ride was fine throughout the day. The Beast and Face/Off were closed and didn't open until later in the day. (Lol both or them are two for Tuesday!) Yes, we didn't ride the Firehawk, but we did ride The Vortex, which I didn't put in my post.

Delirium33
IMO, three things need to happen as far as food prices go. 1) Food prices need to be sensible. Right now they are beyond insane. No doubt in my mind that it keeps some families from visiting the park. 2) The Gold pass meal deals need to umm accually be deals and aimed for one or two people. 3) To draw back the guests that have turned away from the food prices, they should have promotions: Half price coneys, anyone? My friends and I would be all over that. The Reds had $1 hot dogs the other day and they were sellin them like crazzy. The three of us combined bought 7 I think. Neon
Does anyone know why the lights were on in FoF?
