School days...?

Featured Replies

I was wandering if KI is crowded ever on a school day, because im in 8th. grade and i might see if i could be able to go on a school day before Fearfest.

To answer your question (sans other variable such as picnics) days when schools are in are typically less busy.

Come on, if you could wouldn't you take off a day of school to go to KI?......... I did that for CP

I am a Junior in High School so i cant really skip a day now but you can be assured that when i am a senior then i am going to be skipping a lot of days and driving up to Kings Island. ;)

When I was a senior I skipped so I could work...

Kinda hard to skip when you're in 8th grade though isnt it. Usually you'd need someone to drive you to the park... Especially coming from Indianapolis.

I wasn't so much into KI when I was in highschool (graduated in 01) however I have skipped many many college classes to do things such as TV filmings and media days. Fortunately, being a marketing major, I can be honest with the professors and they take it as some sort of learning experience and excuse it.

^Thats awesome. If i had a homework assignment to go to Kigs Island or do some roller coaster research then i would do it every night. I wish m teacher would take going to Kings Island as a learning experience. Maybe i should try to go and make a roller coaster class. Those field trips would be amazing.

Just remember to be sure the park is open before you go....

Sounds like you are planning to go in October since you said that you wanted to go before Fearfest.

Fearfest is only on Fridays and Saturdays in October. The Friday nights that the park is open, the park doesn't open until 7:00 so it would be pointless for you to skip school to go to the park when it isn't even open until the evening.

Ugh..I can't wait until school starts for all the little kiddies. I've been to the park twice since buying my pass and it's been too crowded to even enjoy it...and these are on weekdays! :(

I went on a Thursday, and it was not very crowded.

I wouldn't go KI on a school day, especially during Fearfest because it's not open lol.

I do suggest going the very last day the park is open, which is usually a Sunday and the park is open 11am-7pm. The park is empty and it is breezy outside. I enjoy that kind of weather, and I always wear a hoodie, and then I come off of the rides with tears in my eyes due to the bitter air.

Good times.

Wow what days are you going on? I have been on Several Friday's and Several Wednesday's and nothing was ever that bad. A few times during the weekends in the Pre-Season the park has been busy, and the Saturday of the KIC event it was busy, but nothing like it used to be.

The park was DEAD today. I couldn't believe it myself, with only another week left of Daily operation I thought it would have been more busy.

Hearing similar reports about other Cedar Fair parks (but NOT Cedar Point).

I wonder what admissions figures for the chain are going to look like this quarter. And I wonder how much will be attributed to the amazingly hot summer (which I would think would help the waterparks, though).
