BoddaH1994
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE September 17, 2007 New Halloween Haunt at Kings Island The Area’s Most Intense Must See Event! No one and nothing is off limits! Kings Island, Ohio – It’s bigger, better, badder than anything you’ve ever seen before and open until 1 a.m…it’s the new Halloween Haunt at Kings Island beginning Friday night September 28. Halloween Haunt is the biggest scarathon in the Midwest with 13 horrifying attractions geared for only the brave of heart. No one and nothing is off limits! The event replaces FearFest, which opened in 2000. Halloween Haunt features twice the number of monsters, a longer haunt time, new highly-intense and terrifying attractions including chain link mazes, frightening wooded trails, dangerous clowns in 3D, and some of the most hair-raising rides on the planet. Kings Island’s new Halloween event was originally created and perfected by the “Scare-Masters†of Knotts Berry Farm’s famous, world-class Halloween events many consider the premier fright nights in the theme park industry. Countless numbers of terrifying creatures – nearly 400 vampires, werewolves, mummies, zombies, undertakers, clowns and assorted ghouls and monsters will be lurking in Kings Island’s shadows and pathways looking for victims during the fall event. Gates to the underworld for Halloween Haunt will be open from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. every Friday and Saturday night September 28 through October 27 and daily from 7 p.m. to midnight October 28-31. Parents be advised: Halloween Haunt includes graphic scenes, suggestive themes and intense imagery and is intended for mature audiences; not recommended for children. Newest haunted attractions include CLUB BLOOD in the Action Zone themed area of the park and RED BEARD’S REVENGE in Rivertown. The Dusk to Dawn-like CLUB BLOOD nightclub features exotic dancers and blood-thirsty vampires determined to re-populate its species. RED BEARD’S REVENGE has evil pirates roaming the lower decks of a cursed ship looking for victims. Also new, DEAD AWAKENING is an adult-oriented, contemporary horror and music video-style show that includes graphic scenes and disturbing activity as guest’s witness a young lady’s gruesome nightmare unfold amid the walking dead everywhere! Show times are 8:30 p.m., 9:30 p.m., 11:30 p.m. and 12:30 a.m. at the International Showplace Theatre. Other new attractions include DEATH ROW, a sanitarium of torture and slaughter, and TOMBSTONE TERROR-TORY, a bone-chilling wild-west train ride through the woods that goes terribly wrong. There’s also MASACRE MANOR, a haunted mansion; TRAIL OF TERROR, a darkened woods-walk with the undead lurking in every shadow, and CARNEVIL, a dangerous 3D freight-fest under the big top. Additional attractions include CORNSTALKERS, a terrorizing walk through an overgrown cornfield where evil scarecrows will kill to protect their turf; THE WORKSITE, a long-abandoned construction zone with horror around each corner, and THE CEMETERY with crypts, out-of-control zombies and fog so thick you can’t see your hand (or anybody’s else’s) in front of your face. Beware of ROAMERS and CREEPERS…they’re everywhere! Of course, in addition to the horrifying Halloween Haunt attractions, some of the most terrifying rides on the planet – including the legendary Beast (longest wooded roller coaster in the world) and Son of Beast (tallest, fastest wooded roller coaster in the world) – will be open for guests to enjoy. The seven-time award-winning Nickelodeon Universe kids’ area will be closed during Halloween Haunt. Ghoulishly great online deals are available at www.pki.com/haunt. Friday night Halloween Haunt admission is just $19.95 when purchased online (good for the following Friday nights: September 28, October 5, 12, 19, 26 plus Bare Bones Nights: October 28, 29, 30 and 31. PKIVortex
Still what is the 12th and 13th HH attraction?
RingMaster
Yeah, I was just getting ready to ask that. I keep hearing there's still two shows that have been unannounced (although I already know what they are....just not telling), so I just don't understand what the reasoning is for not already announcing it to the public already. Especially when you keep on promoting that there will be 13 attractions.
PKIVortex
Are they Action FX Theater movies? Or other live shows?
BoddaH1994
Elvira will be back, so count that in.
PKIVortex
Torture Chamber PARAMOUNT THEATRE - 8:00, 9:00, 10:00, 12:00 NEW! Ladies and gentlemen, step right up into the Torture Chamber and see all the insanity on the inside with the Master of Mahem, the Great Baldini! See the Bed of Nails! The grinding Broken Glass Walk, Jump and Glass Face! Watch as a man eats a meal consisting of fire, ash and brimstone! Cringe as you watch a human hammer a nail into his nose! Lifting weights with his eyelids! Animal traps are pitted against human flesh and bone. Who will win that bout? Flaming balls of fire, lit matchbooks and cigars are eaten and put out with the touch of the tongue! I just found that on the HH site, under attractions. So that would be the 12th, and Elvira would be #13. So the Paramount Theatre will be used for HH.

PKIVortex
Yep it has. I'm looking more and more forward to next Friday the 28th. I plan on going several times to HH, so I may just go to the 2 shows Friday night, and ride rides the rest of the time. Just depends on how busy the first night turns out to be. House
What's the difference between Bare Bones and the other nights? Will all the rides be open on October 28th? That's a bare bones day.

House
All Mazes are scheudled to be open, but the 2 shows will not, and only select rides. Ok I was wrong and I'm actually scheduled to go on the 21st. The park calendar shows the park being opened from 11-7. Is this correct? Is it not open until midnight for the HH? The Interpreter
The first three Sundays in October, there is no Halloween Haunt. The park DOES close at 7p.m. Barring, of course, last minute changes.

They need to update the website if they have added stuff to the haunt or people will not come I guarantee it. I can already guarantee that your wrong. Im gonna be there tommorow as is the rest of the staff here. So looks like people are going. The website last year had the same attractions listed (as far as rides go (with the exception of Firehawk)) and I remember it being pretty crowded and a pretty succesful event. So, your wrong. Touchdown
Also Im sure they only list those rides because those are the rides that are "guaranteed to be open*" during the Haunt. While other rides will be open, they can and will vary in number (based on staffing) and specifically what rides are open (again based on who is trained in a certain ride.) That way when you go, if you are dead set on riding the Monster and wont consider the trip successful unless you do, then you know that that ride may not be open on Fri or Sat night, if it happens to be open then yipee! Its called selling yourself short, its a common, tried and true marketing technique. *Baring the dreaded mechanical issues.
