The Interpreter Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 Since it includes Millennium Flyer trains, it can be assumed for now it is a Great Coasters International coaster: http://www.stltoday.com/stltoday/news/stor...E6?OpenDocument Quote
PKIVortex Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 Sounds good. 7 million is that cheap for a new wooden coaster? Quote
The Interpreter Posted September 27, 2007 Author Posted September 27, 2007 Not really. Depends on the size of The Beast... Quote
PKIVortex Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 That's cool, sounds fun though, I'm sure Six Flags will have all of the facts on it's St Louis page soon, if it's not already. Quote
Monroe Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 Evel Knievel jumped 14 busses in Ohio? I wonder where he did that at? Quote
PKIVortex Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 Yeah I found that kind funny that they didn't mention that it was at an amusement park. Which one was that again? Oh thats right Kings Island. LOL Quote
jzarley Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 Sounds like a nice little coaster, but does the Evel Knievel theme seem a little out of date? Sounds like they're trying to appeal more to a Gen X audience with that one (like me, Woofer, and Mark Shapiro ) Quote

I specifically remember the jump over the canyon. That was crazy! Quote
jzarley Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 ^ Yeah, in that rocket car type thing. I used to have one of those as a toy. I also had the regular motorcycle (that I think came with the Evel "action figure"), and the chopper. Those were the hot toys the Christmas I was in first grade I ended up snapping the front wheel off the chopper in a particuarly adventuresome jump! (Of course, I also snapped off Steve Austin's leg when I made the $6M Man jump off the refrigerator too...) I wonder how many little kids broke their arms during that time doing Evel imitations on their bikes? Quote
