BoddaH1994
Visit the park tonight. It was very VERY cold, but still fun as always. Rides: Delirium: 10 minute wait Flight of Fear: Walk On Firehawk: 1/2 hour Italiam Job: Walk On The Beast: Walk On If you guys are looking to get your last haunts and rides in, remember the park is open from 7pm until 12am Monday through Wednesday. The lines aren't bad at all and you can still catch some of your favorite haunts. Special discounts are available at pki.com/haunt.
PKIVortex
Someone mentioned Vortex was open this evening?
BoddaH1994
Oddly it was. It's not on the list to be open for Bare Bones, so don't assume it is. They probably just talked enough of the crew into staying. It was just too cold to ride it.
PKIDelirium
I was there tonight. Rode Vortex 7 times. Vortex was being operated by two supervisors and two maintenance people.
PKIVortex
Well I guess we'll just have to wait and see what Wednesday night brings. I'd love for Vortex to be open, but if it not, I'll have 2 other loopers open to ride. LOL
Karen
Yes I would like to comment on that - the park managers and supervisors are so decidated to the park operations that they were working those rides, games and even helped out on the haunt locations. I saw Don Helbig running games and looked to be having a blast!! That is staff dedication. Those managers are well aware of how each employee's job is done as I have seen them doing them - not many companies are like that. They could have shut them down and just ignored it but their dedication was to give everyone there a great time!! Two extra trails were open that had not planned on being open because the employees had such a great time! Rides not on the list were running. I would say this is a major compliment to the staff and crew of Cedar Fair Kings Island!! There was even a manager that was over THE CEMETERY came back as a creeper sliding after people on Sunday night!
