November 8, 200718 yr My concerns are the karts and that nice chunk of land near Top Gun we could utilize that for something cool I've seen a decline in action at the skyflyer as well.
November 8, 200718 yr I really, really hope the days of taking out one thing to add another thing are over. For that reason, I no longer add comments to any of these types of polls, as I realize that which I do not like someone else no doubt cherishes.
November 9, 200718 yr Yes, but I think a Huss Jump2 would fit in well in Action Zone where Days of Thunder now sits......
November 9, 200718 yr Skyflier is still pretty popular. They could take out DOT, and use some of the land from the old King Cobra land and Dot, and make a sweet coaster.
November 9, 200718 yr CF is not really all about removing one ride for another...unless it's a total maintenance nightmare.
November 9, 200718 yr Skyflier is still pretty popular. They could take out DOT, and use some of the land from the old King Cobra land and Dot, and make a sweet coaster. There is really not a lot of land back there behind Delirium and the DOT site. The only thing you might be able to put in that area is a wild mouse.
November 9, 200718 yr Put in an actual go Kart track. That little rinky-dink thing they have there is only good when maintenance has it before the park opens.
November 9, 200718 yr Havent you ever heard of joining the other political party so that you can vote for the one that will be the easiest to beat?
November 9, 200718 yr Author Ok I've heard so much about a wild mouse would someone link me to a good photo or video of one please! What about a new water ride/coaster?
November 9, 200718 yr Here are some pictures of Wild Mice: http://www.rcdb.com/ig540.htm?picture=2 http://www.rcdb.com/ig289.htm?picture=1 http://www.rcdb.com/ig537.htm?picture=1 http://www.rcdb.com/ig271.htm?picture=2
November 9, 200718 yr I took a ride on this one in Austria at Wiener Prater, and rode it again at Idlewild a couple of years ago and did not know it was the same coaster until now. Thanks Interpreter. http://www.rcdb.com/ig1460.htm?picture=1 http://www.rcdb.com/ig271.htm?picture=2
November 9, 200718 yr Yep, it got to Idlewild by way of Alton Towers. Idlewild is a rather strange place for that very turbulent ride!
November 9, 200718 yr ^It was turbulent no matter where you happen to ride it, but I thought it fit well in the trees where it is now.
November 10, 200718 yr Why does this poll not offer a "Nothing Removed" option? Again, why do some believe that addition through subtraction is necessary? *sigh*
November 10, 200718 yr ^Because some people think that if they take out their least favorite ride or attraction, it would make THEM happy. Forget about any other opinion out there, they do not matter. I personally think that every thing in the park is a KEEPER.
November 10, 200718 yr To all of those who say a park should not remove one ride for another: Would you rather have the canoe ride or The Beast?
November 10, 200718 yr ^I would like to have the Canoe ride AND The Beast. You don't HAVE to take some thing out to put some thing in. For some things it is more feasible to take some thing out for a new attraction, but if it can be moved, I am all for that. Take the bungee ride for instance. I do not use them, but if we were to get a new ride and that would be the best place for it, then I would say find another place for the bungee ride, don't remove them completely. So to all of those who say, "take that out to put in this", don't go to the park because they are not going to have any thing for you to enjoy. I have been going to the park since it opened, and there are too many rides that I miss, that I will never be able to enjoy, or for that matter my daughter.
November 10, 200718 yr To all of those who say a park should not remove one ride for another: Would you rather have the canoe ride or The Beast? Perhaps when the initial plans for Beast were being drawn up back in 1977, the engineers believed that there was no choice but to remove the canoe ride. But with today's technology, I have a difficult time believing that both rides could not co-exist in some fashion and still provide the quality ride(s) that we know.
November 10, 200718 yr The money it generates is considered something. When and if it quits doing so, or the amount it produces is no longer such that it makes sense to retain it, it will then no longer be something, it will be gone.
November 10, 200718 yr Author Ok let's talk about TR now, what alternatives do we really have as far as a new theme or replacement? Exposes it to the elements that would draw an audience which would work as a diversion to maybe reduce ride queues or go off the wall with a sick new flat ride?
