ssdd1970
I heard the Robbie Kenevil might make a jump attempt similar to the on his dad did in the parking lot, can this be true?
The Interpreter
It might be worth noting that another large seasonal theme park company is building a coaster themed around his father's exploits. The press releases for that ride mention the father's exploits in Ohio (pointedly NOT mentioning Kings Island!) ....jumping 14 Greyhound buses in Ohio in October of 1974... http://rcdb.com/document273.htm http://www.sixflags.com/stLouis/rides/EvelKnievel.aspx
KIBeast
I haven't heard about Robbie Kenevil jumping any buses at the KI parking lot. Funny thing is, Robbie uses this juiced up bike and has pretty much sucessfully done every stunt his father tried. Ole Evil Kenevil used a regular bike from what I understand. Interpreter, do you think anyone under the age of 30 would even know who Evil Kenevil is?
The Interpreter
Anyone? Sure, a few. Most under 30 would find him about as relevant as ancient Sanskrit. Makes you wonder why Six Flags chose to theme a coaster that way, doesn't it?
KIBeast
It does, although, I don't really know of any current daredevils that SF could name it after.
The Interpreter
They are also using Tony Hawk, of skateboard fame, and far more relevancy. Then again, Paramount Parks for a short time used Stan Mikita...
BoddaH1994
^ With how widely popular Wayne's World was, I could see them using Stan Mikita. In fact, when I saw WW when I was little, I didn't know it was a real person.
