Fairly Odd Coaster

Featured Replies

What types of restraints do they have on Fairly Odd Coaster?

I haven't ridden it in a couple of years.

The same ones they have always had, one single lap bar for both riders in that seat, and a seat belt.

Beastie didn't have seatbelts until 2000. (At least according to my references.)

Yes I know it didn't always have seat belts. He was asking about the restraints.

Exact same restraints.

The Teddy Bear? That must be one intense coaster!

Look at the posts above you...as Top Gun said....they are the exact same.

No, I mean the lap bars look different from what they were before.

Teddy Bear is actually quite fun. Then again, I'm a sucker for PTC kiddie coaster trains with their flanged wheels!

As am I, Yet I've only ridden a couple.

Interp, I used to really enjoy the Little Dipper at Camden. That is PTC trains, correct? And the Big Dipper too! Or, are they NAD trains?

-Where before what? They never changed.

Both Big Dipper and Lil Dipper have NAD Century Flier trains. They are originals. The Big Dipper once had two trains, but hasn't run both in many, many years. As the coaster is still manually controlled--often by a single operator, insurance regulations would almost certainly make two train operation impossible now.

I love the BD trains.

No seat deviders, no headrests, no seatbelts, omg, love 'em

JacksonPKI: Uh, we were discussing, as KIBeast had asked about, the Big Dipper and Lil' Dipper trains at Camden Park. Yes, Geauga had similar trains, but they were rehabbed in house. They are not, technically speaking, NAD trains any more. I just hope they continue to exist.
