While it isn't confirmed for Kings Island, Kings Dominion has renamed their Bubba Gump's to Outer Hanks.

When I visited for training last weekend, there were noticeable changes.

-New Kings Dominion sign in front of the International Street fountains.

-Berserker's red painted to purple-pink.

-The Paramount Theatre sign gone. It is now Kings Dominion Theater.

-HSXLC no where in sight.

-Dominator (obviously)

-TR Grill is now Trail's End Grill with a new sign.

-TRFF is now The Crypt with a new sign.

-Bubba Gump's Shrimp Shack sign gone and is now known as Outer Hank's.

-Re-adding of Launch Pad trampolines.

-Rebel Yell both face forwards.

-Drop Zone sign gone and is now known as "Drop Tower". Sign supports repainted to black and green.

-Brand new 2008 park map.

-Happy Days Diner is now known as Juke Box Diner.

-IJTC is now Back Lot Stunt Coaster but I was never near it so idk if it has a new sign.

A few years back they had awesome wings at Lt. Dans, then they went to the boneless ones. The sauce changed and it was like eating pure hotsauce. Dont get me wrong I love anything hot however I want them to tast like Buffalo Wings not franks red hot.

I also love the fries with cheese and sour cream and onions. I hope the food doesnt change the Bubba Gumps food rawked.

Bubba Gump's name will inevitably change in the future. But when? 2009? 2019? I have no idea.

I just made a sweet deal with Cedar Fair and the Corporate HQ of Bubba Gumps. All Bubba Gump restaurants worldwide will be changed to Cajun Charles' Cafe. Being from Loisiana, one of the poorest states in the union, the prices will be modest, except for the alligator. You ever tried to cook an alligator????

No, but they are delicious. Some of the best food I ever had was in southwestern Pennsylvania...where the two specialties of the house were, honestly, alligator and peanut butter soup!

Knowing Cedar Fair, they are not apt to change the food much, if at all. From Kings Dominion's website, this is what Outer Hanks there, formerly known as Bubba Gumps, serves:

Outer Hanks

Fried shrimp, shrimp sandwiches, fish and chips, fish sandwiches, chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders, loaded cheese fries, Caesar salads, soft drinks, beer, and frozen adult beverages can all be found at Outer Hanks located near the entrance to the Congo Area.

I can officially confirm that Bubba Gump's Shrimp Shack will be Outer Hanks for the 2008 season and beyond.

Confirmed by Kings Island's PR dept.

Well, you and the park may be able to confirm that it will be Outer Hanks in 2008. But beyond? That will depend on the then owner of the park...which may well NOT be Cedar Fair.
