CoasterCrazy
Its amazing how much the special effects have changed since the filming of that video. Nowadays, the eyes of the giant goddess hardly even light up at all, and they had at least three different colors in the video. The "anger" effect with the black lights is almost non-existent, and one of the riders mentioned sparks, which are no longer present either. The "unlocking of the tomb" consists of nothing more than a spotlight on the door, and the paper flames seem to only work every once in a while. Even the pre-ride video is showing some ware and tear. The only effect that does seem to work better than when Tomb Raider opened is the fog that is made when the tomb opens. I hope Italian Job doesn't have the same fate as Tomb Raider. Ryan
You do have to remember though, that most of the budget for Tomb Raider is being spent on keeping the ride itself operational. Hopefully when it's finally running smoothly, they'll have the time and money to repair those lost effects. Italian Job really doesn't have that many effects outside of the helicopter and explosions. The rest is just in-car effects.
