The Interpreter
Note the article still refers to the park as Six Flags Elitch Gardens. I bet the park PR people (and the PARC PR people) are really thrilled and amused by that: http://www.denverpost.com/arcade/ci_8640397 http://www.rockymountainnews.com/news/2008...ention-kickoff/
Beast1979
I wonder if Barak and Clinton will ride the Twister II together, Love at First Hight.....
The Interpreter
Probably at least one of the two of them would go to sleep on that thing! If either is a coaster lover, I hope they get over to Lakeside and ride the Cyclone!
Beast1979
I can seriously see one of them comparing GW's predidency to a roller coaster, and saying that Theirs will be a smooth and gentle ride to the end. And yea, Twister I outdoes Twister II by a mile and half.
The Interpreter
And then there's that thing called Twister at Knoebels Amusement Resort, that so many love....
Beast1979
And then there's that thing called Twister at Knoebels Amusement Resort, that so many love.... True That. Yet, the Twister II and the Twister @ Knoebels are on other sides of the country. Either way, I will SO watch the debate at Etlich.
Gordon Bombay
Elitch Gardens? In Denver? Shouldn't kicking off your political party's convention be a celebration? <G> As for political talk, this is the type of political thread that is allowed (as per terms of service requirements) KEEP IT CLEAN. KIBeast
I think this is very interesting. Has anything been done like this before? I mean, at an amusement park?
WooferBearATL
The National Governor's Conference was held in Cincinnati when I worked at the park. I remember one of the events being held at the park. Secret Service was there long before the park opened and were inspecting trash cans and all the stands.
