andyr13
I have been reading a couple of the posts here, and had a couple of questions. Our company is having there picnic there this weekend (October 2nd). I have seen people say that the Son of Beast has only a lap bar now, is this true. Unless I am mistaken I thought last year it had a over the shoulder. Another one I saw something about was the Flight of Fear, pretty much the same thing. Have these 2 rides changed since last year? If so does it help make the SoB, and FoF easier on your body, my wife is only 5'0" tall and it banged her around pretty bad last year. PKI_Diana
SOB has always had a lapbar. FOF used to have OTSR but now is a lapbar, footbar and a seatbelt I tend to think SOB is rough and I'm 5'8. FOF isn't as rough, as long as you remember to actively, and stiffly kept your head against the rest during the initial launch.
flightoffear1996
What I thought the park opened back up to the GP this weekend?
PKI_Diana
What I thought the park opened back up to the GP this weekend? It does. Although Friday is a sold out private day. But the park often has company days when the GP is also in the park....
DeliriumDreamer
SOB is and always will be rough on everyone. That's just it's nature. But here's a good tip: if you don't want to get shaken around that much, enjoy the ride from the first or second seat of the first car. KIBeast
And, to add to that, sit in the middle seat of a car so you are not directly over any wheels.
BoddaH1994
Best seat in the house is the middle seat of the back car.
AZ Kinda Guy
Might I reccommend not to even ride it...
KIBeast
No, you may not...
BoddaH1994
Well, a one-time trip to PKI isn't complete without a spin around SOB, so I'd recommend riding it, just ride defensively!
italianchef
SOB has always had a lapbar and FoF has the past 2 or 3 years. Don't worry about your wife being short - taller people suffer more in roller coasters. However, to avoid a beating on SOB, choose the middle car because the front and back cards insulate you from G forces. Have a great day! andyr13
Thanks everyone, last year when we went we had our children with us and didn't get to ride anything. We spent the day no the kid rides. I just mostly got to watch people ride, this year we will not have our kids with us so we will get to ride all the rides.... andyr13
Sorry it took me so long, we had a great time at Kings Island. We did not do any of the haunted houses though the lines were just way to long. We got to ride SOB, DZ, and Delirium for the first time. I would have to say Delirium was more fun than I expected it to be. DZ was probably my favorite ride of the day (our first ride we didn, and SOB was fun but it beat us up pretty bad. Oh yea this was also my first ride on FOF and it was one of the better rides we rode that day also. The day went well, we did not have to wait long to ride anything, I think 35 minutes was our longest wait except for FaceOff which took about an hour. Think we rode DZ 4-5 times, Delirium about 3-4 time, SOB 2 times, and Beast once. We was going to ride The Beast one more time at night time but the lines got longer as the night progressed. There was a special that day for the Xtreme Skyflyer and we got to ride it for $10 a person.
