This has always boggled my mind, even since they changed the names of the rides who here is accidentally or on purpose call the ride by its original name because it comes right off my tounge of the original name so here it goes.

Would you call it......

Drop Tower

OR

Drop Zone

Tomb raider the ride

OR

The crypt

Face Off

Or

Inverigo

Top Gun

OR

Flight Deck

i just thought i would throw that out there knowing that i have been going to Kings Island for 9 years and have called them the names they have always been and even since they changed the names i will probably call them the name they have alwys been

I think the names are only a fraction of it. For a like Tomb Raider it would depend on what they did with the theming for The Crypt.

Anyway...

Drop Zone

Not really sure, don't know how The Crypt fits its theming.

Face/Off

Flight Deck isn't too bad. I just hope they add (or restore) some scenery.

Personally, I think all the ride names are pretty good, but Drop Tower will always be Drop Zone to me.

Also, Flight Deck needs a renovation bad, like in its early years it really felt like you where about to get on a flighter jet and I wish it could become that way again. A new coat of paint would be nice too!

A new coat of paint would do wonders for that poor ride. I would love to see the under station queue opened up again. I certainly would fit in with the new title.

I could care less about the ride names.

I pay to enjoy the park, and the rides they provide.

How the ride is named will not change how much I enjoy the park or the ride itself.

Same with me, the name does not change the experience of the ride to me

I agree a name is just a name. At least they didn't call it Rollercoaster 1, Rollercoaster 2 etc. LOL

For now I have been calling it:

Drop Zone

The Crypt

Invertigo

Flight Deck.

Although I'm probably going to go get my pass processed, and as soon as i see Invertigo I'll scream:

"Face/Off! Ohh baby how long has it been!"

then I'll spot the new sign and in reaction say:

"Ohh, yea. Bummer."

Im gonna call them by their new names because its the start of something new.Anyway,me and my mom didnt like paramount.Weve been to Cedar Point and it was great,and KI last year was better than any other year at Kings Island!

Being a journalist, I am very aware of new names and events. It's my job. So I'll go with the new names and honestly prefer them.

I am glad Paramount is gone but I am so used to those names I still call them by their former names sometimes.

In time I'm sure I will get used to the new names. I have no problem with FOC or Wild Thornberry's, so it won't take me long. In 2 weeks, I will just be happy to be there and the names won't really matter.

Those are really the only 3 i care about.

There are other Inverigos out there, so that shouldn't be too bad. Crypt is a lot shorter and quicker to say than Tomb Raider:The Ride.

I think the hardest to get used to is saying Flight Deck instead of Top Gun, at least for me. It always used to be the first ride I would go on with it's closeness to the front of the park.

I still would not care if they did hahaha .. I would just think roller coaster tycoon more ... does anyone else ever get that feeling of wanting to play roller coaster tycoon while you are waiting in line at KI? I sure do haha

Yea but the changes they've made to tomb raider are really a thorn in the side.

Tomb Raider will always be Tomb Raider nomatter how ****ty it becomes; it's part of the rides nature.

I'll probably simplify IJs new acronym to BS aswell...

My wife and I still call Boomerang Bay "WaterWorks". Our daughter, who was 2 last year, was even calling it that last year. I guess at some point we'll have to change since eventually her friends will be like "WaterWorks? What's that?"

ya i dont think i want to adopt Kings Island but the would be freakin cool i would rename it and all kic members would be able to get in for free on wednesdays and passes only 60$

Flight Deck??? Are you kidding me?!?!?! Flight deck has to be the least creative name I've heard for a ride since... uh...

And Invertigo is a typical generic insignificant name that obviously didn't take much effort to think of.
