Amusement parks, VIP-style

Featured Replies

My first thought was "How Much?" It's all similar to our very own Gold Passes. Although, that Magic Mountain deal didn't sound too bad.

The Segway tour at Epcot is $95 for two hours. Park admission is not included.

A Disney VIP treatment is $125 to $150 per hour with a six hour minimum. Park admission is not included.

VIP tour of Cedar Point is $400/ person for 8 hours with a one hour break (included in the 8 hours). Park admission IS included. http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/visit/vip.cfm

VIP tour of SFMM is $299/ person- 4 person minimum. http://www.sixflags.com/magicMountain/tickets/VIPTours.aspx

Basically you need to be what Vegas terms as "whales" to afford these types of experiences. I'm sure most parks offer some type of VIP experience for famous people. They would almost have to so that the guest does not get mobbed all day.

I didn't know CP had something like that. I'll sitck to my platinum pass then. I always wondered how celebrites went to parks and now I know.

Hey those Segway tours are so popular at Epcot that Disney decided to offer rugged Segway tours at their Fort Wilderness resort.

Mediocre celebrities, perhaps.

The real ones, the parks would gladly PAY to get them to come. And, some do.

Just 3 years ago Lebron James (who I would not consider mediocre) did a VIP experience of Cedar Point with his entourage.

It was amazing the amount of people it drew in.

I'm not really sure what advantage a park would have buy paying for a celebrity to come to the park. The celebrites don't want their presence known because they just want to have a fun day at the park. Advertisments can be filmed before the park opens, although I cannot think of many celebrity advertisments that were actually filmed at a park.

There should be a KIC Day, where KI is closed to the public and ony open for KIC members! And we could get tours, and cool events! I can dream can't i?

I always thought this was a stretch when Six Flags did it, but they talk about it like it's successful.
