I know the last time we went up to the zoo here in NC, I took my lil back pack with me and was able to put my purse, camera and such all in there. I know we are planning to go to the water park at KI and such...but I seem to remember there were places where you could put stuff like that if u'd wish to leave it there....am I wrong there?

Nope, you're perfectly right. I think you can rent a locker for the day for a couple bucks, but that means you'll have to trek back to the locker to get your stuff if you decide you need it. Me and my friends just usually bring two backpacks in between us and store our cameras, Ipods, extra clothes, and whatever else in both of them. Most of the rides have areas where you can put them while you ride (Only ride I've seen so far that doesn't is Flight of Fear. I asked and was told that I had to keep it on the ride with me, even though there are signs posted that say otherwise). The only downside is, if you keep as much stuff in there as we did, It's bound to get heavy.

Side note - So far, I've seen two rides that require you to leave your stuff in a locker (Which is usually located right outside the entrance to the waiting line) and those two rides are The Crypt and Firehawk

Don't they have lockers right out in front of Flight of Fear?

Yeah. I'm just too cheap to bother renting one so I just carry my stuff around with me all day. My back aches like crazy after I get home though!

No loose articles are allowed to be stowed in the station on Firehawk, except prescription eyeglasses, last I heard. Lockers are available outside the queue there for 75 cents per use. Waterpark lockers are significantly more expensive, I believe...

Waterpark lockers are $13.00, but $5.00 of that is the key deposit. The lockers there are for all day use (the 75 cent ones are 1 time use unless you drop in 3 more quarters) and are slightly larger than the ones elsewhere in the park.

$13? Wow, I never actually knew how much a locker in BB was until now. I guess if people are willing to pay that much for a locker for the day, the park can justify such a high price.

I am hoping that you have unlimited access to that locker all day long unlike the others in the hard park where you pay each time you open it up.

Last I was there (june 5th) the Boomerang Bay Lockers were $12. With a returnable $5 deposit making you fork over $7 in the end.

You do get unlimited access, but they are also rather small, a half-full backpack wouldnt fit in one with shoes and a towel as well.

IMO That is way too much money for a locker. I can understand about 3 bucks or 4 for an all day use but 13?!?! That is outrageous.

Remember your economics class..... Once you walk into that park, they are a monopoly, they have no competition. And the entire major theme park industry would be an oligopoly, which is only slightly better. Personally, I like to use the trunk of the car as my "locker." The walk to the car is worth what I save, especially with food and drinks in the cooler.....

Two things....

First (and I sure hope Mr. Kinzel and his minions are reading), the most important words in your post are: "once you walk into that park." By gouging, the park makes future walks into that park (and future profits) less likely. There are many reasons why theme park attendance is down, and, in my opinion, overpriced park food and services are part of them.

Second, and perhaps more importantly, be careful about using car trunks for lockers. Many parks have had substantial problems with parking lot security and theft from vehicles.

OMG, wow. That's all I can say CF, Wow. $12 for a darn locker.

Wake me up when CF's gone. . . <_<

Do you think that CF is the only park with prices that high?

If so, you really need to get out more.

For example, at Waldameer Park here in Erie, PA, the all day lockers are $9. You get $4 back when you return the key, so the locker is actually $5. And at KI the locker after the deposit is $7. Needless to say our little waterpark is not even close to what BB is, and for only having a $2 difference, CF seems to be priced correctly.
