jovigirl33
Okay so we are planning one of our three annual trips up to KI July 19th. I know this is a Saturday and it's going to be crowded. (Which I hate) so can any of you give me suggestions on how to make it a good day without loosing my mind? What would you ride first, etc. It's a two hour drive for us so I would like to at least get all the coasters in. Any advice would be appreciated. There is no way we can come during the week due to work and getting sitters for the kiddos. Thanks in advance and I hope you all have a great weekend! The Interpreter
Others will give you great advice, but more than anything else, get there early and stay late. The middle of the day WILL be horrid (unless it is very, very hot...in which case a lot of people will go to Boomerang Bay). But, many, many people come an hour or so late...make use of that magic first hour...If you have a gold or platinum pass, be sure to get the speed lane benefit...and they are limited. The last hour or two a lot of people will have left or will be leaving. It's the middle of the day that is a thorough zoo...that's the time to people watch, do shows (get in line early) or leave the park to rest and/or eat. Jasper
Like Terpy said get there very early and stay til close. I suggest get there before the park opens and line up at the ropes. Go to Firehawk and then immediatly go to Flight of Fear. By this time that area should be packed. Makey our way round to Vortex. Head to the back and hit Backlot Stunt Coaster and The Crypt. By now you can hardly move probably so now is the time to go hit a show or go up in The Tower. Then at the very end of the day hit up Action Zone and right before the park closes hop in line for The Beast.
tigellinus
In my expert opinion, hit Drop Tower, Delirium, and/or SOB after Firehawk and FOF....people seem to all go to Invertigo and Flight Deck first in Action Zone in the morning.
Coasterkidman
Weekends are crowded, especially Saturdays. Firehawk and FoF usually have long lines; Delerium, Son of Beast, Drop Tower and Invertigo usually have about 30 minute waits; and The Beast, depending on how many trains they run, can have a 20 miunte to hour waits. Hope that helped.
