flightoffear1996 Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 This stuff was from 5 years ago I think its time to give us some new shows. Quote
iChase Posted July 1, 2008 Author Posted July 1, 2008 That's why I mentioned some time ago, that it would be a good idea to film the building of our new coaster. That would make for a nice updated coaster show. Quote
The Interpreter Posted July 1, 2008 Posted July 1, 2008 It hasn't been five years ago... Terpy, who won't forget the filming of that special, for both personal and sentimental reasons...sigh Quote
The Interpreter Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 A close friend was intensely involved in the filming of that special. It was his last. Shortly after the filming, he unexpectedly died. Kings Island was his favorite park. Quote
iChase Posted July 2, 2008 Author Posted July 2, 2008 That's really sad. I'm sorry. At the very least he got to spend that time at his favorite place. I could see that it would make that special difficult to watch. Quote
tigellinus Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 Hey, who was the guy with the shaved head talking on that National Geographic roller coaster special in 2006?? He was sitting at the bottom of SOB's first drop (little did he know months later the loop he bragged about would be gone!!). But he seemed like a KI enthusiast.... Quote
The Interpreter Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 His name was Steve Urbanowicz...and he wrote several books...from A Cheapskate's Guide to Theme Parks to A Roller Coaster Lover's Companion. He was from Bayonne, New Jersey and was often seen at Six Flags Great Adventure media events. Quote
tigellinus Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 ^^Really....I'll have to check out those books then!! Thanks for the quick response, Answer Man! Quote
