WooferBearATL Posted July 7, 2008 Posted July 7, 2008 b. If they suddenly lost that honor, they'd find something else to promote and the virtually all of the ticket buying public couldn't possibly care less. Now Boddah has told us that assumption is not true. Many people look towards this in their travel plans. Quote
Beast1979 Posted October 26, 2008 Posted October 26, 2008 To resurect an old(er) thread, some noticable tid-bits from today: Everything Nickelodeon was 25% off, but before you ask, anything non-Nick was Full Price. Quote
The Interpreter Posted October 26, 2008 Posted October 26, 2008 Perhaps they are trying to liquidate that stuff.....just in the Nick of time! Quote
FOFreak Posted October 26, 2008 Posted October 26, 2008 They do something like this every year! Don't excite yourself! Quote
FireBeast Posted October 26, 2008 Posted October 26, 2008 I saw some Halloween Haunt stuff 50% off yesterday. I'm pretty sure HH isn't going anywhere so the Nick sale probably doesn't mean anything. Quote
faeriewench Posted October 26, 2008 Posted October 26, 2008 lol, didn't they do that with the Paramount branded stuff last year? Quote
The Interpreter Posted October 26, 2008 Posted October 26, 2008 Yes, and there were people at the time who said that didn't mean anything either.... Quote
FOFreak Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 The moment I posted that, I knew someone was going to bring it up! Quote
faeriewench Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 The moment I posted that, I knew someone was going to bring it up! ha. oops. people at the time who said that didn't mean anything either.... wow sad. I figured it almost common sense they were gonna drop that lol I wasn't even surprised so I never payed it much attention why I asked if it was last year or the year before. Quote
Vortex Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 If you read the sign its says Kings Island logoed products only. From what I could make out today if it had Kings Island on the price tag it was 65% off. Now if it had Cedar Fair on it the item was full price. Quote
Beast1979 Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 Did Cedar Fair do THIS with the Paramount Stuff? Quote
The Interpreter Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 They most certainly did at Carowinds and Kings Dominion! Kings Island, too.... Quote
Beast1979 Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 And Carowinds and Kings Dominion now have Kidzville, correct? Quote
The Interpreter Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 Not to my knowledge....they sold off Paramount merchandise like that though.... Your question was: Did Cedar Fair do THIS with the Paramount Stuff? Quote
The Interpreter Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 At Carowinds, they literally had tent sales, selling Paramount and Paramount movie-themed t-shirts for $5, for example! Quote
FOFreak Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 Every single ride in Nick U, will need to be rethemed next year, if they drop Viacom. Can they retheme every ride well? You know what happened when Paramount left! Quote
SamDiZZLe3361 Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 what would they do with wild thornberrys and runaway reptar?? Those will be a pain to re theme including WT. its probably one of the better themed rides in the park. Quote
italianchef Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 If Nickeldeon is to go, I will not cry. Quite frankly, I'm a bit bored with it and would prefer to see Hanna-Barbera return. Quote
faeriewench Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 If Nickeldeon is to go, I will not cry. Quite frankly, I'm a bit bored with it and would prefer to see Hanna-Barbera return. I wouldn't cry either....I'd probably do a happy dance, lol. A personal/annoying experience happened with the cute yellow sponge (funny at times thinking back on it) and I just want the box of terror to just leave I'll take anything over him. Whether it be Peanuts or HB, or maybe somethin' different...I'd prefer HB though. Quote
The Interpreter Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 A happy dance? Do you mean, per chance, a Snoopy Dance? Terpy, who just HAD to! Quote
RingMaster Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 And Carowinds and Kings Dominion now have Kidzville, correct? Kidzville has been at those parks since their inception so long ago. And a Nick-themed kids area has been buddy-buddy with Kidzville for a little while now (much like the old Nick Central/Hanna-Barbera Land setup prior to 2006). Quote
raptor Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 I would love to see Snoopy, but I'd be happy with HB too, both would be excellent choices, and both imo an improvement Quote
KIlover123 Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 scooby dosent is not as greedy as spongebob. thats why i like him better Quote
RailRider Posted October 27, 2008 Posted October 27, 2008 The retheme of NU would be very simple for the most part. New signs and new paint. Very few of the rides are that highly themed. When they introduced NU it was nothing more than a Disko, a few additional carnival rides, the removal of shade, and lots of concrete. I honestly was never that impressed with NU and honestly wouldnt mind seeing it disappear. Also its a great way for CF to save some money. Who thinks Kinzel might push this quicker seeing as what happend over at Mall of America? Now bring back the BusyTown Gril Quote
FOFreak Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 ^^^Wild Thornberry's Wild Adventure, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Rugrats Runaway Reptar beg to differ! When do you think they would announce this move? What would they rename Fairly Odd Coaster? Quote
Beast1979 Posted October 28, 2008 Posted October 28, 2008 1. Nick U is beloved by kids, I doubt they would broadcast it. 2. http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=14268 which was redirected to: http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?...mp;#entry232002 Quote
