In the news letter from KI that I just got, they had a whole section on the train, and a little bit on it's history. So I was thinking that maybe in 2009 the train will have a "show" on it once again. Or at least some theming put back into it. CP's train looks just fine! Maybe we can expect something similar for KI's train. I know this sounds stupid...but CF is trying for the whole nostalgia "theme". Yeah, the "show" will be the viewable sections of the new coaster as it flies by. But, yeah, that'd be great if they brought some of the "show" back to the train. CF does seem to be trying to recreate memories from KI's past, so who knows.

Doubt they bring back the Smurfs though.

It doesn't really seem like it would be too hard for CF to spruce up some of the buildings back there, and put in a some live actors, and a few animatronics.

Last time I rode the train, last week, the ride op made it a point to have everyone turn their heads and look at that fake grizzly bear they have in the woods by BB. So maybe CF does have something planned.

Kings Island had a Haunt attraction their last year. You rode the train to the Pumpkin Patch area and got off a Ghost on the trains and walked back to the WWC exit area.

I think that a show on the train would be a much needed addition to the park. They used to do a thing where someone jumped on the train pretending to rob it. My parents claim that it scared me and made my cry in 1972 when I was 3 years old, but I have no memory of that. They also told my kids about that, and now they tease me and say that I'm afraid of the train. Just like they tease each other about the NIck U rides..............

I could see a show being added to the railroad. CF seems to be putting an emphasis on entertainment (yes, I know the whole park is entertainment, but you know) so this would seem perfect.

I remember the skit they did and it made the whole train ride an adventure. When they would jump on the train they would move along the metal outside step and with every step there cowboy boots would make a loud noise and made it seem very interactive to the guests. I can see where it would be a bit scary to kids but not like haunt scary but more of a nervous kind, to be honest those kinds of memories stick and I wish I could share that with my daughter now.

They could call the coaster Mustang and have the front of the cars look like a p51 mustang. Then they could re-theme the train to WW II, and have the coaster attack the train.

The old pictures of how the train used to be, make it look like it would be really fun to ride the train when you want a nice relaxing couple of minutes at the park. It seems like it would be enjoyable for all ages! Maybe with the addition of the 2009 Coaster, we will se an overhaul to the train ride, so it gives families something to do over in rivertown, much like in 2003 when we got Delerium and Scooby Doo And The Haunted Castle
