Mr. Coastermania
i enjoyed Kings Island last week but due to the heat, the girl friend wanted to head home. Anyhow i have lost some weight and down to 267 at 5-6. I was able to ride a.e roller coaster(a little snugg but felt ok)as well as the scambler(no problem)the monster just fine and the water rides easy then she got sick(dang it.)I will be out next week and want to ride my favorites like The Beast and sob(if i dont chicken out ha ha) as well as fof and Vortex.IM just wondering if i will fit ok with them rides since i fit a.e?someone told me the font cars on The Beast are more forgiveing for bigger people. Please give me some feed back. The Interpreter
The front seats of Vortex have far more room than the backs...same on Flight of Fear, but the belt sizes should be the same from seat to seat...which doesn't mean they are. I was once very near your size, and could ride all the adult rides then at Kings Island, but not necessarily comfortably...The same could not be said for Cedar Point...I didn't fit Wicked Twister, and wouldn't fit Top Thrill Dragster or Millennium Force at the size I was back then with today's restraints, though I did at the time. Mr. Coastermania
Once i get myself down to 230 by next opening day,i will give Cedar Point a try but for now,i will enjoy what i know at Kings Island.
taynes
Well I can relate. I am about 5'10" 293. I fit just fine on Vortex. Flight of Fear front of each train and on the right side seems to be the bet for me. I was at CP the past 2 days. I was able to ride everything other than TTD and Mill. Force. So good luck and have fun...
The Interpreter
Taynes: So you fit Wicked Twister but not MF or TTD? Interesting... Terpy, who was turned away from WT but never TTD or MF (but the restraints were more accommodating back then)
KingDaddy
Speaking from experience last year at 6-0 330 I rode SoB, Flight Deck, Adventure Express, The Beast, Backlot Stunt Coaster and all the water rides. Didn't try any others because of the kids. The only issues I had was with The Racer and The Beast, I couldn't get the bar down to click on The Racer and the attendant helped with The Beast. Hope this helps.
iChase
^I'm pretty similar to you. I'm 6'4" 320 and can ride everything but FOF. I'll occasionally need help on Beast but I usually manage.
Hoeter
I'm 6' 4'' weighing in at 275lbs and I have absolutely no problem on any of KI's coasters...I even get two clicks easily on The Beast and Racer even though it's an uncomfortable ride due to my height. The Interpreter
if you really really want to, you can loose all the wight, as long as your'e strong, 130 Well, hopefully just all the extra weight!
WooferBearATL
I could not imagine dropping below 235#. I'd really, really, really be in a state of depression.
RailRider
Similar here as well, 5'7 and last summer I was 260. Have never had a single issue with Kings Island nor Cedar Point for that matter. Yes even after they re-routed the restraints on Millie and TTD. I thought I might but I didn't. Worried for nothing. Now this summer the ridding has been even better cause Im down to 240. But shouldnt have any worries at KI
Captain Picard
My trip to CP 2 weeks ago it seemed that the belts on MF was longer. Last year the test seat had a line and this year they wasn't testing anyone.
RailRider
My trip to CP 2 weeks ago it seemed that the belts on MF was longer. Last year the test seat had a line and this year they wasn't testing anyone. Hmm this year I did notice longer belts, but I also dropped 20lbs. I wonder if they rerouted the belts again to give room back for ridders. Interesting. I didnt even notice the missing test seat because I rode fine in
Captain Picard
No the seat is still there just wasn't anyone getting put in it when I was there.
RailRider
Ok I thought I missed it being taken out. Thought I was more observant than that. Thanks for the clarification.
taynes
Well when it comes to size it depend on where it is. My thigh are the biggest problem. Taynes: So you fit Wicked Twister but not MF or TTD?
