Captain Picard
Infrared cameras in this case I think would be for photography of wildlife. People can't see infrared light but a camera can. You do do a test by using a tv remote and point it at your digital camera when pushing a button. Your camera will need to be on and have a lcd screen to see. Just tried it. Didn't work. Maybe I have the wrong kind of remote...? The problem isn't my camera, because it does have an LCD screen. I don't know why I snapped lol. Sorry for being a loser. You're not being a loser. I've had my oversensitive moments in here, too. http://www.metacafe.com/watch/698368/how_t...your_tv_remote/
masonguy21
Any speculation as to what exactly the "tonic" is for. I mean the park wouldn't just tell people to bring it just so they are scrathing there heads about what it's for until media day, and then it not have any use at all would they? secondson
http://www.metacafe.com/watch/698368/how_t...your_tv_remote/ Ahh. I was expecting to see a laser beam shooting out of the remote. I'm such a dork! Tried it again, and it does work. Interesting.
TOPGUN1993
Big @$$ ride would be the best name for a coaster ever! Agreed.
RailRider
Big @$$ ride would be the best name for a coaster ever! Agreed. Why do I have a feeling our new coaster will be called "Hell Big" ? Doc, Thats a Hella Big coaster...
gnarkiller
It has to be something to do with a snake. Its the only thing that makes since IMO
RingMaster
I am still going to bet on a snake or horse name, but my best guess is a snake name. This is a VERY creative press release IMO. This is something you wouldn't see at any park. Actually, Universal's got everyone beat for the past several years: http://websites.horrornights.be/2004site/index.php HHN 14 http://websites.horrornights.be/2005site/index.php HHN 15 - Tales of Terror http://websites.horrornights.be/2006site_Before/orlando/ and http://websites.horrornights.be/2006site_After/orlando/ HHN's Sweet 16(The Behind the Screams sections of the 'Before' site has been 'rearranged' in the 'After' site) http://websites.horrornights.be/2007site/orlando/index.html HHN 17 - Carnival of Carnage and of course, this year's Halloween Horror Nights: http://www.halloweenhorrornights.com/orlando/index.html So, um, yeah KI's press release for the 2009 coaster is a great start to having more interactive (and interesting) press release information, and I hope that, in future years, they'll be up to the same caliber that Uni is famous for. WooferBearATL
Have to disagree. I don't see where any of the web pages created by Universal are anywhere as creative. Those are web pages. Easily created and not nearly as imaginative.
Captain Picard
I remember Uni sending out press packets like Ki did last year for HHN. I know they sent something to Screamscape.
CoastersNSich
Why do I have a feeling our new coaster will be called "Hell Big" ? I've got a great feeling that the name will be "Big Don."

RingMaster
Have to disagree. I don't see where any of the web pages created by Universal are anywhere as creative. Those are web pages. Easily created and not nearly as imaginative. ...so you're saying this: is better than this?: http://websites.horrornights.be/2007site/o.../carnirama.html And, really, go and actually LOOK through Uni's site for this year's Horror Nights, then come back and tell me that's not creative and/or imaginative. Don't just sit there at one page and form an opinion from just one page.
Captain Picard
I think he is talking about the way they are playing it with the media and not the web page.
G-Force
Yeah, like how they are sending the bolt, the serum, placing signs, ect. That is more creative imo than just a flash web page.
RingMaster
Makes sense in the fact that it's a gigantic Beemer coaster vs. a Halloween event being publicized. EDIT: Now that you mention it: ^That guy from the Screamscape site got a 'prize' from the folks at HHN last year. And I believe he also received a bolt from the Kings Island PR staff this year. Ok that is pretty nice for a halloween event. But it's more dead-on as to what it's trying to target. The tricky little elves at King's Island try to make everything a challenge. Which I think is more creative. Anyways... I can't wait to see the PR on the 6th! I will be there only for a few hours though due to a Cross Country practice-a-ma-bog. hauntguy
OK, so... I just got the KI newsletter and it mentions the annoucement and it states... "Be there as KI let's the horse out of the barn..." So either it's a common figure-of-speech or they're really hinting a name and/or theme for this coaster! I've still got my money on a horse! -Hauntguy

Nope, sorry, You chose the non-venomous diamond back water snake. KI chose the highly venomous pit viper Diamondback rattlesnake. Let me know when I can pick up the keys.
