Newbie with questions...

Hey all...brand new to this board. Visited KI at least once a summer from about 80-95 or so, haven't been since. Recently moved back to the area, and I have a few questions(these are questions I could probably find answers to if I dug around on the board, but I thought it would be quicker/easier just to ask them all here).

1. With Viacom no longer owning the park, how much longer with the Nickelodeon stuff be in tact? I have a young daughter who has seen her favorite Nickelodeon characters on KI commercials, but we can't take her this summer. Will the Nickelodeon area be around in 2009?

2. Has Son of Beast been a disappointment? I read all the hype when it opened, but so far, people I've talked who have been on it have only spoken of how rough a ride it is.

3. So nobody ever died on The Bat? Seriously? That was one of the great "urban legends" of my childhood, that cars from The Bat would just be sent hurtling into the trees. Guess not.

4. Is there still a two-day pass, and how much of a savings is it?

Like I said, KI will always be a huge part of my childhood/teenage years, and I'm pretty excited to get back there next summer. Reading this board(and especially the History section) has been a lot of fun.

1) I believe they have the Nickelodeon rights until 2012, I think that may be what it was, it was a separate contract.

2) SoB has been a bit of a disappointment, but still a unique and a ride you have to experience at least once. It has improved since the loop was removed and the trains were changed.

3) No one has died on The Bat.

4) I believe there is still a 2 day pass. I think it was pretty much like buy one get one day, but I think they only offer them at Meijer now, but someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

There is a 2 day pass, which does not have to be consecutive days. And it's more like buy one get the other half off.

At the time of acquisition by Cedar Fair (2006), Paramount Parks had four remaining years left on the Nick license. It is widely speculated that a renewal may not be forthcoming. That speculation may or may not be right.

If you use the automated ticketing kiosks next to the sales booths you get two days for the price of one.
