kingcobra84 Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 What is the worst news anyone has ever heard about a ride at Kings Island? Quote

kingcobra84 Posted August 11, 2008 Author Posted August 11, 2008 http://www.wcpo.com/content/news/neighborh...8D&gsa=true Yes that is some horrible news, i hate that ride it gave me back problems Quote
Flamethrower Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Nothing really compares to the news of the sob loop removal, I was sad, and dissapointed that I did not ride it as much as I would have like. Still I got over it after 5-10 rides, and its still the second best ride at the park. Quote
Tomkatt7 Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 I remember hearing on the news about the lady falling out of flight commander, and the guy drowning/electrocuted....... Can't remember if it was the same weekend or not, but they were pretty close together....... I was thinking the park would close for investigation and never reopen again.... But in the end, it was the guest's fault, as usual...... It was a tense couple of weeks though. Quote

It doesn't get any worse than death. Period. Quote

RecaraceR Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 Both tragic events happened in the same day Yep, and apparently about 45 minutes apart from each other (the fountain incident happened first if I recall). The worst news for me in retrospect was also June 9, 1991. That and the lady who had a heart attack (or something like that) on Top Gun and died the next day. Quote
Justin_M17 Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 What is the worst news anyone has ever heard about a ride at Kings Island? That I'm going to have to wait until next year to ride Diamondback Quote

chippewa&idora4ever Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 when I heard that it would be my last chance to ride the flying eagles. :| Paramount was just looking out for us, trying to entertain us. and we can all admit that we didn't exactly hop at the chance to ride the antique cars, I'm sure the ride atendance for both were low. I miss them, I would always crash into my friends on the antique cars, "back in the day" ..... the memories Quote
chippewa&idora4ever Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 um sorry but there were 13 replies, and thats bad luck, had to make it 14 Quote
Guest rcfreak339 Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 What I remember the Antique Cars always had a line.... Quote
chippewa&idora4ever Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 What I remember the Antique Cars always had a line.... I don't, well, not a "do you want to ride anything thing else instead?" line Quote
Monroe Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Antique cars were never a do you want to ride some thing else line. Even if it were 2 hours in my book. We miss those that leave in anticipation for those to come. Comparing the two are in our nature, but only compromises a potential friendship. Quote
The Interpreter Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Not to mention the Flying Eagles also almost always had a line, unless the park was desolate. Quote
Dvo Posted August 14, 2008 Posted August 14, 2008 Yeah the removal of KC, KCKC, and the Eagles all still break my heart. Quote
raptor Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 Other than someone dying on a ride which is always the worst news, the worst news for me is when they turned the backward racer around forward again. But the antique cars removal and flying eagle were pretty devistating as well. Quote

But the antique cars removal and flying eagle were pretty devistating as well. My kids were really upset when the flying eagles were removed. They loved that ride. Stupid stupid move by KI. Really dumb. Should have relocated them. Another idiotic move by KI management which continues to amaze me with their stupidity. Quote
gigacoaster2k Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 I was pretty upset when I learned that the backward Racer had been turned forward. That one was a unique experience, not to mention a classic. Now it's just your run of the mill wooden coaster. If they were trying to mimic CP's Gemini, they failed miserably. Quote
Racerrider Posted August 15, 2008 Posted August 15, 2008 Aren't the Antique Cars still on Park Property? Quote
