How long would you wait to ride your favorite roller coaster?

Featured Replies

^^Ahhh....'Terpy, you do love your Great Adventures, don't you!? ;)

I must say, even I am really missing some Bruna ride-operating myself!! :(

I'll wait 5 hours for Diamondback. B)

I was going to say that as well....LOL

I waited 5 hours to ride SheiKra opening day (they were giving out free bottled water) and by the time i got off the line was down to 2.5 hours so I waited and rode it again.

I ended up riding SheiKra 3 times on opening day!

Diamondback IS going to be worth a 5 hour wait, I will probably get off, go to the restroom and get a free drink(arm band) and head back for it.

^^Good thing being the capacity monster D-back will be the line will probably never be 5 hours!! ;)

I hope you're right about that. I'm hoping for a smooth opening that isn't plagued with maintenace issues, and opening bugs of the other variety.

^^Well...Behemoth's lift motor burned out only 3 weeks into operation and was down for a week, but I think we'll be ok! B)

I waited 7hrs for Firehawk.

Dont get me wrong Firehawk is a good coaster, but 7 hours. Ive gotta ask afterwards, did you feel it was worth it? Just curious.

Sheikra was running 5 trains, and can load and unload 2 trains at a time.

I think right at the opening, the line will be quite large. Throughout the day it will not be as big, granted we have no break downs or delays.

I'm going to say I would stand about three hours, or maybe a year. :D

I've been waiting for the Cedar Point Cyclone or the Rye Aeroplane or even The Riverview Bobs for a lot longer than that! :) And, someday, I bet one or more of the three IS rebuilt in a fairly faithful fashion.

^Is there a thread on here with your favorite defunct rides/rides you wish you could have ridden? Cause those 3 would be on my list.

Sorry not to answer, but ya it was kinda worth it, though going deph on the lift hill was not fun, nor the fact that I was afraid that I would die from falling out.....but other than that ya, I got a teeshirt thoguh!!! but I spilt pop on it when I got home....so ya it was kinda, but not really

No. Son of Beast opened on a Friday evening, after the media event, such as it was. The next morning, a Saturday, it ran less than a dozen trains before shutting down for several weeks for repairs and construction. It also had only one train, both the first two days and when it re-opened. It was four or five more weeks before it ran two trains.

And to think there was a time when electronic devices were not allowed in the park! And PSPs were unheard of. Much less wireless phones.
