SonofBeast07 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 don't worry guys "The final piece of track is expected to be installed this afternoon. You can watch this MOMENTOUS occasion live on the Diamondback webcam." ...... ya.... i hope there is video
LongLiveTheSmurfRide Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 It's weird seeing the webcam shot of the splash down and piece #129 not being there on the ground.
pyrocoasterkid Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Getting an image on the webcam just requires a little patience; one should assume its heavily bogged down. Sit on the page without manually refreshing and you should get the feed for a while....
Colonel_SoB_fan Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 that drop into the splashdown is longer and steeper than I thought it would be
violakat03 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 that drop into the splashdown is longer and steeper than I thought it would be Yeah I was thinking that too. It's going to be awesome. Can't wait to see the first run with the splashdown effect.
Tomkatt7 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 When ever I put something together I always have a few pieces left over.....Hope the DB crew didn't have that problem.

Fear the Offseason Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 It's so awesome to see the whole track portion of the ride done. But I have a question....How do you post pictures? Like of the webcam shots.
DropZone99 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Isn't it weird that two years ago from now track was just showing up in the parking lot for the new coaster of that year, and vertical construction wasn't even started? I know Firehawk is over 1,000ft. shorter, way less tall, in an easier to build land area, and they had til' May... but I find it weird (in a good way) that the new coaster for this year is now complete (track work) and at this same point of two years ago little construction had been done on Firehawk...

74Gibson Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 ^ set up an account on photobucket. Download your photo threre and then copy the html into your post here. When you get onto photobucket you'll understand. They make it pretty easy
Fear the Offseason Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 ^ Okay. Thanks! The webcam is really making me mad. Every 5 minutes it will change but never on the shot I want.
SonofBeast07 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 finally the webcam seems to be moving.... slowly, but still moving
G-Force Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 And, today, Diamondback was born! Feels so good to finally see it complete!
Beast1979 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 I thought I heard they've laced the supports with a slow working acid. Jackson will be the test subject as I believe he has been recorded as hugging one of the supports last season. We'll watch. And learn. HA HA HA!!!!! Don't Worry, I'll check to make sure it's safe. I WONT climb it, and it WONT be during KIC day, you can bet on that!
SonofBeast07 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 ya, i think i'll bring and wear a straightjacket to the event
G-Force Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Don't worry, I'm sure Don will pass out special Diamondback branded straight jackets for all of us! That would be an odd thing to see on the webcam!
Ashers Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 Well guys I've been lurking for most of the winter but I had to come out and say "Hooray!!!" that Diamondback is finally done! Is it April yet? ~Ash
flightoffear1996 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 ^ You mean all the track is up. Its got along way before its done.
