I was awestruck at how absolutely massive Clifford really was. It was really amazing how beautiful Diamondback was.

Diamondback pictures from today by me coming later.

Well they still need to put up the first drop support before they can crown the lift. From the renderings the support that goes in the midway is what will hold the lift crown and a good portion of the first drop.

This is going to be one steep drop...

There is also a Blog update about the ACE event over the weekend, I wonder if the buffet was large enough to meet ACE standards ;)

well, maybe just the last straight piece, the crown will probably be last on the lift. i wonder if they will complete the first drop before the park closes, or maybe they will just do all the midway stuff later on.

Nope not the lift crown.

The lift crown is still sitting on a flatbed around the splashdown area on the path by the theater. The crown cannot go up until the have next support erected which will hold the crown and the majority of the first drop.

Ha! Well the buffet was really yummy but there were only coney dogs and chili.

Man could you imagine if you had to walk down those stairs from the top? That is a long and steep hill to descend. I think I'd prefer a ride down MF's lift basket.

I went up to the park Saturday and pictures cannot do this mammoth Beast justice. It is really huge and it going to provide one heck of a ride.

^^Cedar Point...Magic Mountain...Hersheypark...the list goes on, BUT I totally dig what you're saying, and similarly to The Beast, the location and layout are really two of the biggest ingredients in potentially making D-back truly prolific!! :D

I saw a close up of the track piece, it goes strait untill the very end and then it starts setting up the crown, judging by the concept art and the size of the piece I bet it's the next one to go up, and soon.

Imagine what it will be like walking along the midway and all the sudden a train flys by at 80 miles per hour!

Oooo boy!!

It will be AMAZING!! Just imagine how loud it's going to be! Especially when the spine is hollow, so we're going to hear that thing ROAR.

It'll truely be amazing!

Me personally, as soon as I ride it on opening day, I'm either going to get in line for it again, or just stand by the drop to listen to it ROAR by and take pics.

^Good. =]

I love the ROAR!

I already knew that the track was hollow,

because Sheikra_rocks and I were watching them put the round part leading into the station,

and one of the guys accidently hit the spine with a big tool, and it was loud.

:D

It was confirmed on KICentral day that niether the track or the supports would be filled with sand.

Ahh I see. Not that I dislike the roar, because even will filled with sand it still roars just not as loud, I just dont want it to take away from what is left of the atmosphere in Rivertown. Plus nothing better than when a coaster goes flying by and it surprises you. Rather than hearing it coming a mile a way.

Perfect! I love that saying right there! :D

That's me new quote for DB. Or B&M's in general.
