Paul is joking, that's because the way the sun shines makes it look like that. The paint they put on coasters does that.

Actually, it WAS being painted when that was taken in 2001.

I was gonna say, that didn't look like the sun shining on the paint. I just couldn't remember when it was re-painted. It looked terrible right before it was painted.

I was on Vortex crew in 2001, and the ride indeed was repainted in 01.

Yes, the repainting of the ride began in 2001. I don`t believe it was completed though, by the time the season had ended in 2001. It was, however, completely repainted by the time the 2002 season opened.

The paint on it has certainly held up. She still looks great! Now if only we could get them to paint a couple of other coasters that are in tragic need of paint.

Which was how long ago? I've been going to KI for years and I cannot remember it being any colors besides orange and blue.
