Classic Coney Pictures and Video

Featured Replies

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Three things:

a. I have three nickels. Can I ride the Wild Cat? Pretty Please?

b. My memories of Shooting Star are confirmed yet again. Bunny hill after bunny hill, all filled with air.

c. NAD's??? Wowsers. I suppose they were on Wild Cat. Does anyone KNOW?

Well, Raptor already posted a link to that footage in this thread.

And I have seen those historical photos before. That site has some nice and unique photos of Coney on it in its glory years.

How I loved the Cuddle Up. Why oh why KI did you have to remove the Cuddle Up?

Just thought I'd pass these links along..............

Thanks, that is great!

You can see the locks or dam(?) crossing the Ohio river at the 00:25 mark during the aerial portion of the video.

I didn't realize the links had already been posted. Oh well, I guess they are worth a second look. If you take a look at coaster1robert's website (http://coaster1robert.tripod.com/id42.html) he mentions that he has high resolution Coney pics available to anyone who wants them. I've e-mailed him several times to get copies but never heard back from him. Maybe one of you will have some luck if you're interested in getting the high res pics

I too have sent numerous requests to him via email inquiring if he would be willing to share the high res pictures with Coney Central. And I have not, as of yet, ever received a response back from him.

Coney looked so nice back then, great pictures.

What I wouldn't do to visit that place once.....

I don`t have much respect for that last youtube video, simply because they cruised Google gathering images of Coney. They do not give proper credit to where they were pulling their images from. Speaking from past experience, it is not fun to realize that pictures you own appear on other websites without your permission. And professionally speaking, taking others work and claiming it as your own is plagiarizing. Plagiarism is a very serious ethical problem, and any work that is not your own which you do not site is considered plagiarism and failing work.

Is that the reason they pulled it?

Apparently it's not available anymore.
