Mr. Coastermania
I enjoyed the summer at Kings Island and rode rides i thought i would'nt be able to due to my weight. I weight 272 at 5-6. I was surprised i could fit most all my favorites and not be crushed by the lap bar. Vortex was a bit snug. My question is how are Cedar Point rides?will i be able to ride them?I am working on taking some weight off but how much would i have to lose? any info would be helpful. thanks again. My question is how are Cedar Point rides?will i be able to ride them?I am working on taking some weight off but how much would i have to lose? any info would be helpful. thanks again. i am 265 at 5'8". i fit in everything at KI. the rides at CP definitely have tighter restraints. i couldn't fit in millenium force on my first trip to CP last summer. this summer i fit snugly in MF. i couldn't fit into WT last year and never tried it this year. the ride ops at CP are not as helpful as the ops at KI. at CP they tell you if you can't latch it yourself, you can't ride. i have had hip surgery and can't twist enough to latch myself on a lot of rides. so i make them help me. Touchdown
It depends on where your weight is, if you have a large lower body, MF and TTD are going to be tight, upper body WT, Raptor, and Maverick might cause you problems. Can you fit on Delerium? If you can expect to fit on Maverick. Also if you have a large lower body, I can tell you right now Diamondback is going to be a tight squeeze, unless B&M has modified the restraints since Raging Bull and Apollo's Chariot (the only two Ive ridden.) gigacoaster2k
Taken straight from the Cedar Point website: Guests of Exceptional Size All passenger restraint systems, including lap bars, shoulder harnesses and seatbelts, must be positioned, fastened and tightened to allow guests to ride. Due to rider restraint system requirements, guests of exceptional size may not be accommodated on some of our rides. This may apply, but not be limited to, males who exceed 6'2", and those who exceed 225 pounds, have a 40" waistline or 52" chest or females who exceed 200 pounds or wear size 18 or larger. Each person has different body proportions, so it is impossible to determine exact size and weight. Guests who have ridden Millennium Force in the past may no longer meet the requirements of the current rider restraint system. Our larger guests may experience difficulty on Blue Streak, Chaos, Corkscrew, Disaster Transport, Mantis, Maverick, maXair, Mean Streak, Millennium Force, Mine Ride, Power Tower, Raptor, Skyhawk, Top Thrill Dragster, Wave Swinger, Wicked Twister. Maximum recommended weight limits are posted on Camp Snoopy rides, Chaos, Monster, Planet Snoopy rides, Scrambler, Skyscraper, Super Himalaya, Troika, Wave Swinger, RipCord and most Soak City attractions. You may enter the ride via the exit to ensure the restraints function properly prior to waiting in line. We have test seats at Maverick, maXair, Millennium Force, Raptor, Skyhawk, Top Thrill Dragster and Wicked Twister. I have also seen people unable to fasten their own seatbelt, so they were told they could not ride, and had to exit the ride platform. Many of the ride ops at CP also announce this on their safety spiels as you are getting in the train.
The Interpreter
This thread can also be a big help (and yes, it does talk about Cedar Point, too): http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?...t++Size++Weight

tigellinus
^^Yikes!!! And this year (IMO) the belts have been the longest since they got shortened in 04!! (due to MF getting new ones pre-season)
RailRider
As mentioned earlier, but to add my own. All depends on body proportion. Thunder thighs will hurt you more than a beer gut on rides like MF, TTD, and soon to open DB. A beer gut will hurt you on rides like Raptor, WT, and Mavrick. Heres some perspective. Im 5'7" and last year weight 260lbs. More of a beer gut than anything, no problems with any rides at CP, KI or BGE. This year Im down to 240lbs and riding was even better.
