Cypress Gardens to close once again, this time for 4 months. Although from the sounds of the news I wonder if they will reopen. If and when the reopen it will be as a waterpark only.

Hate to lose all those rides, but hopefully that have a downscaled selection including the Starliner. After all that effort to dismantle it from Miracle Strip, store it, then rebuild at Cypress, now this?

Hmmmm....going to a smaller footprint and ending the amusement rides area after an ownership change. Sure does sound familiar. And the ending for either story remains to be seen...

Well, in both cases, certainly the investors got soaked under one or more of the owners...

Bittersweet Day for Visitors

I like to search Rides 4-U and ocassionaly stumble across something interesting. Well there are 4 pages of Rides from Cypress Gardens as part of the liquidation. Rides 4-U Even the Starliner is listed. I am quite shocked that it is every ride within the park. I believe the writing is on the wall for this park.

They are also on Ital International's website. This makes me sad, I really liked Cypress Gardens, and it seems that they just keep shooting themselves in their feet. The ski show itself is awesome. And the rides are very family oriented. It is a beautiful park!
