chippewa&idora4ever
If Cedar Fair were to pull a Six Flags and have ride make-overs instead of new coasters... Which ride do you think would in actuality get the make over, and which ride would you want to get the make over? *I'm thinking that Vortex would get those new trains, or Flight deck would get a fresh coat and some speakers in the seats. *As for the make-over I would want to happen? I would LOVE to see Son of Beast have it's (I don't know what there called) track foundation? or place where the wheels go scraped and replaced with an Intamin wood base.~Smooth, at last. DropZone99
This is total fantasy but here i go... Paramount still owns KI and Flight Deck is named Top Gun. Some how Arrow is still in business and extended TG. Just before the coaster currently reaches the brake run; it turns upwards right and hits brakes. After these brakes another lift hill starts. It is about 30ft. taller than the first lift hill. It drops right out of the lift hill and turns 180º than does a drop similar to Renegade. The coaster reaches it's top speed of about 55mph. It turns left and rises around 80ft. it then drops towards the helix and dives through SOB's lift hill and turns left. After that turn it makes it way back towards TG's helix and does another helix over it. After that is makes it's way towards the current brake run and comes to a complete stop and pulls into the station. During the whole ride, "Highway to the Danger Zone" plays. All of the track will be one solid color; navy blue. The supports will be painted a silver-ish grey. An extra train will be added and the queue under the station will re-open. Beast1979
^Very nice. I for one really don't see any coaster being redone nor would I want any coaster to be redone besides Son of Beast getting torn down and replaced with an Intamin Plug-And-Play. JAHill
My idea of a KI makeover? Tear down SOB, and make a new campsite where it once stood, and make a KILLER campfire out of SOB's wood. It deserves to be burned!
The Interpreter
Except, of course, it is pressure treated wood, and the fumes therefrom would be hazardous to human health. Burning that stuff is not a good idea.
chippewa&idora4ever
I really enjoy Son of Beast, I would love to see the whole thing as an Intamin woody, smooth, fast and exhilarating.
fan of beast
how about we melt down flight deck instead of burning SOB. the coaster you don't like might be someone elses fave.

Well how can I complain?- those are my least favorite rides in the park, but burn (75) edit-17 million dollars worth of wood? see my spoiler- GREAT IDEA!!!!!! Also, does anyone treasure the banana peel I just threw out?
CoastersRZ
Where did you get the number $75 million worth of wood for Son of Beast? That is a gross exaggeration for the cost of Son of Beast. While the park never officially released a cost for Son of Beast, I heard numbers reported that the original construction for the ride cost around $17 million. The Interpreter
Son of Beast didn't cost anything even near that $75 million figure...and that includes design and construction, not just the wood....

Beast1979
I really, honestly, and completely do not see how ANYONE can enjoy Son of Beast. The First drop is fantastic, but I have ridden in every car of each train and it Beats the Living Crimany out of me on the second and third drops. Then, as your trying to recover, how about a couple more boring, slow helixes, as if he reconized he just lost your enthusiasm and broke your spine? Me too. That's actually one of the things I look for in a coaster. Why I love Flight of Fear, Beast, and Maverick. But there is a point when it just becomes pain. And Son of Beast crosses it. Understand I am being as polite as possible, how in the world do you enjoy it? If it were just a tad smoother it'd be nice.

Why was my poll blocked? Also, I think The Beast isn't that bad, just painful. Probably smother than original FOF trains. 1. Gordon Bombay likes SoB. 2. Beast isn't painful in the front or midddle rows of any car. And EVERYTHING was smoother than the old FOF trains. (Except SoB)

G-Force
Ok, back on topic a little bit: I would have (and this is only in my greatest dreams, however it is not a rollercoaster) a modification on Drop Tower that would change the car which the seats are to a seat the is upright upon boarding but then swings back so your facing the ground and then you plunge torwards the ground head down! Imagine the adreniline on them apples!
Guest rcfreak339
I hate this debated issue.... SoB is bad and It's sad to see it that way, I has so much potintal to be a great ride but it's soo poorly designed and constructed. The best part on SoB is The first big drop after the lift the rest should be demolished and redesigned....The Beast IMO is the best constructed and designed coaster ever....Terrain Hugging, Speed, Height and everything.... SoB is rough in like a WTF IS THIS DOING TO MY BACK!!! kinda way, The Beast is like Rough in an old school kinda way....

But nothing major imo.. just toughen up.......I enjoy row 6-1 on Son of Beast.........

We'd highly suggest that you skip it when visiting Kings Island. There's plenty of other rides for you to enjoy at this venue... ...and even some employees suggested not riding the Son of Beast roller coaster---even they know how rough this ride is.."
