IndyGuy4KI
You do? Someday you will get your wish. It happens to us all. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, for steel coasters, the enemy is rust. How long did it take you to come up with that? That is really funny.
The Interpreter
I spent about six seconds on it. My best stuff comes immediately. Stuff I anguish over isn't usually worth reading. People on AIM are constantly telling me I type/talk too fast...as I was often told as a child. Then again, what do you expect from a sentimental child of the Northeast, a New Jerseyan at heart, born and reared in Central Appalachia? BavarianBeatle
The 30th birthday of The Beast makes me feel old..... I remember standing in line in 1979 in brutal heat, stcking my chewed gum on a tree, getting a drink at a concession stand, waiting through all of the switchbacks over a lake, throwing pennies into water flowing through the theming, and finally getting the thrill of that first drop (the world's largest at the time)..... No seatbelts, no seat dividers, soft seats.... The two tunnels in the middle, which are now one...
The Interpreter
And the fact (which always surprises somebody here) that the helices were not covered...

Mr. Coastermania
The Beast is the only roller coaster to scare me by what i could see of it or what i could not see hidden in the woods.Sure SOB had me scared just by looking at it but The Beast that is well hidden in the woods will always live as the king of the woods.
