nhimes90 Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 At one point in time I had heard that KI kept the Antique Cars, beacuase they were planning to relocate them. I highly doubt they will be bringing them back especially since they sent some of the cars to WOF. My question is this; did KI keep any of the Antique Cars or did they give all of them to WOF? In 2008 I saw a few behind FX Theatre. Just wondering! -Nick Quote

Jaredap88 Posted February 22, 2009 Posted February 22, 2009 i know they wont but it would be quite nice if they just re-located the ride someplace in the park Quote

footballfreak Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 ^^That would be nice. I loved the antique cars when i was a kid. Quote
The Interpreter Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Most, but not all, of the cars were moved to Worlds of Fun. They are no longer in the park. Quote
BoddaH1994 Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 For the last year or so of their storage at the park they were parked along that access road behind Sling Shot... covered in tarps. Quote
KIfan73 Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 It does seem a real shame that they ripped out an area as nice as the Antique Cars was. I would think that people that can clearly remember how Kings Island looked decades ago would have a hard time walking around it now (because of all the changes, not their age ). Quote
bzahlong Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 I preferred the 'Tiques to the Backlot Stunt Coaster. While the coaster is a nice ride, there was something about letting my little one drive the old cars, and she is only tall enough to ride the Stunt Coaster this year. It was a nice slow paced relaxing ride with a lot of mature trees and great scenery. I'm sure it was very labor intensive, I imagine KI can run the coaster with a lot less associates and a greater throughput than the cars ever had. Quote
The Interpreter Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Many of us sorely miss both the Antique Cars and the Flying Eagles. Sometimes, Paramount Parks didn't make the wisest of ride choices. Quote
RollerNut Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 Many of us sorely miss both the Antique Cars and the Flying Eagles. Sometimes, Paramount Parks didn't make the wisest of ride choices. And sometimes they did, however they normally made a bad choice in atomosphere and scenery atleast at Carowinds and around Backlot. Treewise that is, or maybe I just enjoy the shade too much. Quote
Jasper Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 You could get a good view of them when you were on Delirium when you were swinging toward SOB and you got the down side. Quote
