The Interpreter
Part I; http://www.examiner.com/x-3443-LA-Weight-L...sneyland-part-I (Hint: It has to do with bringing your own) Part II: (but what if you didn't): ...Since America has become more aware of its growing obesity epidemic, big food-peddling corporations like Disney® have accommodated the health conscious with better food choices. Fruit is the most popular healthy treat at Disneyland®, taking residence in fruit stands located on Main Street near the Market House, the walkway to Splash Mountain, the entry of Adventureland, and the Frontierland entry of Fantasyland.... http://www.examiner.com/x-3443-LA-Weight-L...neyland-part-II Now, I ask you. Why can I not buy grapes at Kings Island? An apple? A banana? An orange? How hard can it be? Why not? At Kings Island? Where else?
tigellinus
^^Doesn't KI sell the frozen banana's like CP??
Avatar
Terpy I know for the past two years we have been able to buy a decent size fresh cut fruit salad at Boomerang Bay Outback Shack. I often remarked that I thought it was one of their better deals, we often bought a shrimp basket (If they remembered to prep them that day) and a fruit salad and split it up between us. P.S. Let me know if I am not helping.
XGatorHead 8904
Thanks Avatar! I didn't know they had fruit salad at BB. We rarely ate at the waterpark, but a nice fruit snack would be great out there. Something to remember for this year...
The Interpreter
So, can fully clothed guests amble over to the waterpark? Better question, why should they HAVE to? Why cannot Cedar Fair see the way to have healthy options readily available in the dry park? After all, it's not just the guests in bathing suits who know they need to lose some of the avoirdupois. Avatar
Yes Because they want fresh fruit Maybe because Mr Licastro does not run the dry side of the park Sorry I could not resit, maybe someone else may have some better answers than I. The Interpreter
Perhaps some wry soul thinks those who need/want to lose weight will lose more by walking to the waterpark. But, if one is going that far, may as well walk to the car and the cooler or the beckoning outside cafes. As for frozen bananas, I neither know nor care whether Kings Island sells them. Frozen fruit annoys me enough at McDonald's when the fruit and yogurt parfaits have not had sufficient time for the frozen yummy fruit to thaw! tigellinus
^^Which is why you nurse it from the Coke machines to the ramp in MF's queue!! I gotta be honest, I find the frozen bananas across fom Mantis money!! Cheap (well, sort of), refreshing, relatively healthy, and a good time killer in MF's queue! Tip: keep the wrapper on and roll it down little by little...or else you'll be one of those poor souls juggling a melting mess.
CedarPointer
Now, I ask you. Why can I not buy grapes at Kings Island? An apple? A banana? An orange? How hard can it be? Why not? At Kings Island? Where else? Because Disney feels that food is part of the experience. Cedar Fair sees food as simply that, food.
The Interpreter
Actually, I think Cedar Fair sees food primarily as a profit center. . . Sigh.
