As reported tonight by Dan Carrol of Fox19 News in Cincinnati, the Diamondback First Riders Auction has exceeded $75,000 in bids! The park asked me to thank the KICentral Community for their many contributions to this great cause and to remind you that there is still plenty of time to place or extend your bids, as the auction will continue until April 15th at 8:30am. The best news to date is that due to the overwhelming popularity of this auction, Kings Island has elected to add a sixth train!

Just to recap, 100% of the proceeds from the auction will benefit A Kid Again, which is an organization that enriches the lives of over 550 children, throughout the Tri-State region, with life threatening illnesses and their families by providing year round, fun-filled group activities and destination events, fostering joy, laughter, normalcy and supportive networking opportunities.

If you are a successful bidder - one of the top 192 seats, as reflected on the KIDiamondback Auction Bidboard Site - not only will you get the honor of being on one of the first six trains of Diamondback on Kings Island's Opening Day of April 18th, but you also get a commemorative first rider ticket, a special gift from the park and an admission ticket to enjoy the day at Kings Island. Also don't forget that A Kid Again is a not-for-profit 501©(3) organization, so successful bids are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the IRS tax code.

^You didn't sound self centered. I would say the same thing. I think the "Good Luck" made me sound a little smart aleckish.

Will you raise your bid if you get pumped out?

Hey if you're a smart aleck, we'll get along just fine.

You bet I will raise my bid. I'm:

1. a believer in giving to a great cause

2. who loves roller coasters

3. and is very competitive.

I refuse to get knocked below that yellow line. I will be on one of those six trains. ;)

YANTIS, TX (KLTV) - A Yantis man is banking on a big bet $5,000. That's how much Allan Hague is willing to pay for the ride of his life. At least for now. Allan's currently holds the highest bid to be one of the first people in the front seat of a Cincinnati roller coaster. What's driving this East Texas thrill seeker.

A self proffessed country kid who loves roller coasters he's been hooked since he first set foot in an amusement park....

More big bids on the auction board.

Blackhawk Network holds the top sport with a $5000 bid currently. How much does Alan want the top spot?

Yeah, I agree...I dunno who this Allen guy is, but as George from Seinfeld would say, "You wanna get nuts?! Let's get nuts!!"

I mean, this is approaching owning your own Chick-fil-a franchise money now!! :o

And btw, if they're still around and reading this, GoldenPalace.com (online casino) if you bid me the very front seat on the 1st train, I'm willing to sport the GP.com tat as the rider!!
