Son of Beast is getting new lap bars, right? On preview night they only had one train on, using the exact same lap bars that have always been on it. Someone asked a worker why there wasn`t a second train and he said that the other train was having pads added to its lap bars. So is SoB getting new lap bars, or just re-padded lap bars? Also, I thought the new lap bars would be ready for preview night!?

Supposedly totally new restraints are being shipped now.

They need some padding lapbars. Thank god they are getting sone.

I wish they would put padding on Vortex, soon.

SoB was only running one train on Sunday, so maybe they're adding new lapbars to the others. I think Vortex and Racer could use new padding. Racer could use new lapbars too. If your lapbar is loose at the start, it slams down on your crotch at the bottom of the first drop. Not too enjoyable.

You're all wrong, well more or less at least, SOB'S restraints did infact change. Didn't any of you notice that the foot brace was gone! yay! and I would love to see FOF-like lap bars on Vortex. It would add a whole new appeal to the ride and not to mention making it much more enjoyable.

PKI still has not received the new restraints from the company manufacturing them. Apparently the company thinks it takes longer than 7 months to bend some pipes to make lapbars according to Jeff Siebert.

I hate to burst your bubble, but in SOB's 3 year history, there have never been foot braces. You are probably confusing Sonny with Flight of Fear.

I worked there last season, rode it 113 times, and not once did I see these so called foot braces. So please, enlighten us. We must all be missing something!

113 times ? I thought riding TR:TR 53 times was alot! anyways, It might have been another year it was open. But , I am not going to bring myself to argue about restraints.

Your probably thinking about Flight of Fear which does have foot braces.

I think INRaider is referring to the annoying floor boards, which by the way, were still there, atleast in the back seat. It was bad too. I could only bring myself to wait in line for it once, and I won't ride it again until the new restraints are in place, that seriously hurt! For an hour my head felt like it had a vice on it.

Yea those floorboards really suck in the back seat. I lost count of my rides on SOB at around 80. Somewhere around 87 I think.

Maybe they are referring to those stupid foot plates/ramps int eh bottom of the cars, that everyone for the most part has agreed are stupid, and removing them would make it so much more comfortable.

The only thing that really sucks on SOB is the amount of leg room, or the lack there of. If you sit in the middle of back seats there is hardly any leg room so your legs get cramped up and it makes the lap bar seem worse.

i rode SOB Saturday and man it hurt my butt!SOB beat me up pretty bad!yeah my legs get pounded!
