My friend and I are arriving Sat. morning for RWW and have to process our passes (4 hr drive that I'm not making just to process the passes). I don't mind missing the morning RWW ERT but want to get in on DB ERT.

So, how long have the wait times been and what's a good guess of when to arrive this Sat?

Thanks!

When I was there on Sunday it was only a 15 to 20 minute wait, but within an hour or two the temporary queue area to the left of the building was filled and the line was much longer.

we made it through what looked like a long line a couple weeks ago in about 30 minutes. They were really moving fast. Also the same day they let a couple of my friends in the park without processing. They told them to go on in and come back later in the day when the line was shorter.

I found my answer. Per, the season pass page on KI's official site, processing starts at 8:30 on Sat. Thanks for the help everyone!

If you buy the pass online, you can use it for entry into the park one time and go back and process later. This is also true if you buy it at a ticket window but I don't know how early they will have the ticket windows open. We did this with my husband's pass - bought it at the ticket window and then went back later to process it. You must process it the same day you use it for entry.

That's great to hear. I did buy online but was told not to count on getting in with the printout by two different phone reps and one seemed very seasoned/ informed. They said it was up to the people at the gate and usually depends on how long the line is.

What luck have others had with this?

They just scan the barcode that's on the pass. I don't see how it would be an issue or dependent on the length of the line ... they scan it the same as a normal ticket.

In the past, you could only get in with the printout if management decided that the processing line is too long at that point in time. From the response Gibson got from the park, it sounds like this may still be the case. Your best bet is to go to processing and get it over with. If they decide to let people in the park with the printoffs/SP tickets (if they still do it the way we did when I was at the park), then they will start at the back of the line and inform people that they can go in with their unprocessed pass and come back later to process.

If you're getting there at 8:30, I would think that would be early enough to avoid a major line.

Well it all depends on how many people they have working inside the "Studio", if there are only about booths open and there are not that many people in there a line just filling up the pop up queue can take up to 30 minutes as it did for me. But if you get there and they are putting them through there it can go by faster than you think.

I don't know why there is so much misinformation about scanning the passes.

You get ONE scan on a ticket or printout. After that you have to get the pass processed or you cannot enter the park. But you do get ONE entry scan on the temp. pass. This is not about how long the line is, you just get it automatically.
