May 25, 200917 yr This makes the third time it's balanced, right? WOW! Dragster didn't run too much (Did it run at all?) on Opening Day, it's had some problems since, and now it gets stuck? I hope it's not like this for CoaterMania! I wouldn't mind getting a rollback, but this just doesn't look promising!
May 25, 200917 yr Opening day they ran a couple empty test trains, about 50-50 on rollbacks...but it was also quite windy that day. The next Monday, it was running just fine.
May 25, 200917 yr Author OK, it's not stuck anymore. Dvo told me it was. If you click the cam image, it gives you a larger picture. I have yet to have a rollback on that or get stuck on the top. I think it would be sweet.
May 25, 200917 yr http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/fun/blog/index.cfm Blog entry! Actually on both Monday and Thursday, dragster was almost operating as it was designed to, there was also little wind those two days.

Could that be be because Kingda-Ka doesn't rollback as much as Top Thrill Dragster?
May 26, 200917 yr In part, yes. Although I've ridden Kingda Ka many, many more times than Top Thrill Dragster, I have not gotten a rollback on either. At Cedar Point, I've had the most unpleasant experience (for me) of watching both the train before mine and the one after mine rollback. Sigh.
May 26, 200917 yr Thats cool. I have been on two roll backs both back to back. Just go on a hold day it happens alot.

May 26, 200917 yr I wouldn't mind being stuck up there for awhile. The view would probably be amazing, and it'd be a great photo opportunity.
May 26, 200917 yr I wouldn't mind being stuck up there for awhile. The view would probably be amazing, and it'd be a great photo opportunity. On ride photography is strictly prohibited on all rides here at Cedar Point. Please put all cameras and cell phones away at this time. (I'd love to see them try and make me all the way at the top of Dragster.) Flyer, who will deny he ever said that, and who does follow such rules during normal circumstances!

Well, while it may be against the rules, in a situation like that i'd do whatever necessary to keep myself occupied. And like you said, there's not a whole lot they can do to stop me while i'm 4xx feet above them.
May 26, 200917 yr OOH OOH OOH I was there!!! I saw it!!! I was coming back from my break and saw stuck at the top, I was excited, but then I had to get back to work and by the time i managed to get back where I could see it, it was back down.

A little more than 50-50, try like 75-25 I was at Cedar Point today and I am so jealous. I knew I should of taken a ride on it, maybe that could have been me. I was amazed when I saw it. I didn't think it could happen. I just thought gravity would have to pull it one way or the other.
May 27, 200917 yr I like the blog's comment and Tony's reply. A lot of people are always like "how do they get it unstuck" and never seem to believe me when I tell them they just give it an ol' heave ho. You can kinda see it in this video if you full screen it: I think the funniest part is that all the people in the picture from 'after' look pretty darn excited! Must have been a bunch of enthusiasts cause normal people don't get excited about stuff like that.
May 27, 200917 yr that video is crazy... I remember watching it for the first time. I showed it to my grandparents and they were almost in shock. Ever funnier is when we visited the point last summer my grandmother had a cow when we all rode it. She was watching when we pulled out to launch. The last thing I saw was her covering her eyes. She went on all day about what she would of done to us if we got stuck up there.
May 28, 200917 yr I hope that I get at least a roolback on this. Preferrably I get stuck up there. It's like the brakes broke! XD
