coasterdime
Awwwww s#$%$#t! I completely forgot about this one! I made plans to stay home (in Southern Ohio) this weekend..... I would HAPPILY pay DOUBLE for my Gold Pass....if only they would get rid of this stupid park-clogging "benefit." Now, I'm trying to arrange lodging last-minute....I will just head north for the weekend... I have to get my other season passes renewed anyway. If there is one thing I could change about my home park, this would be it! For those of you about to brave it, have fun! lisacor
I want to take the other side of the coin a little bit. I will agree that the park is EXTREMELY crowded on these days. However it does provide on nice benefit. It allows my kids to bring friends for free those days. Friends that would not otherwise be able to attend KI. My kids look forward to the days. The only thing I did not care for, besides the crowds that is, is the fact that KI scheduled three Brind A Friend Free days this year. Two of those three days came on holidays that I am not about to go to KI (Good Friday, and Mother's Day). I don't think it will be as crowded as people fear this Sunday. How many people will not be there because they are spending the day with mom? I thanks KI for having this benefit. My kids look enjoy being able to pick one person they can bring for that day. OK, now go ahead and tell me I am wrong for these feelings. I have my flame resistant suit on to prevent burns.
missdi
lisacor, no need to get the flame resistant suit on, I totally agree with you. They shouldn't have picked holidays for bring a friend free day. I wouldn't want my child going with someone else on Mothers day, it's my day to spend with my kids and family, and I think it would be the same if I decided to go to the park for the day I wouldn't want to take a friend of my sons and take them away from their mother. Maybe the family values of the kids now days doesn't matter much to spend time with their families, mostly on a holiday such as mothers day and fathers day. Just the way I was raised I guess. Maybe I'm just too outdated, but I like to spend time with my family. Main thing that I'm trying to say is...bring a friend free day shouldn't be on a holiday! (Now it's time to get my flame resistant suit on!)
SOB_TOM
The reason they picked holidays are because that those are typically really slow days. So, to boost profit (they are a business), they have a goldpass benefit. Makes perfect sense from a business standpoint.
Beastfreak
They picked those day to prevent the whole over crowding thing from happening again. Plus, maybe some kids will bring their mothers this sunday. Edited January 1, 1970 by beastfreak
Dane
(I wrote this on Sunday) I was gonna take advantage of this Gold Pass benifit and bring a friend. My mom already has a pass so I wanted to bring a friend. But than right before I called a friend, I didn't want to separate mother and child so I didn't. Thats why I'm a little dissapointed by it falling on this day. A little off-topic but sitll on?
