Which modern TV shows (such as Friends, Malcolm in the Middle, etc.) do you think should film an episode and PKI and why?????? And to be bold, what plot would you create? Quote

Of which none of us would mind, I'm sure. The plot would consist of a major political figure visiting relatives in Cincinnati, OH for the weekend. On Saturday, he visits the park with his grand daughter and grandson, who are around ten and twelve. Early in the day they board Drop Zone and the ride gets stuck. This is all planned out by an underground terrorist organization who is angry about a statement made by the political figure during a recent speech. They are mad enough to kill him. They plan on nocking out both the main power grid and the backup immediately after the ride has recovered and has dropped. It is up to What's His Face to go behind the terrorist's defenses and stop the gruesome massacre from taking place. All in 24 hours... Quote
StXBomber Posted May 22, 2003 Posted May 22, 2003 Hmmm...... I think that Paramount would definatly NOT like that idea, considering the whole terrorists in the park thing. I would like the show Survivor filmed there! Think about it, each tribe's area would be inside a Beast. One tribe in the first giant helix on SoB, and the other in The Beast's grand finalie helix. Challenges would range from trivia about the park, to races (maybe running The Racer track). The final challenge could be whoever could hold on to drop zone the longest while it is at the top. Bars would be places onto the ride, and a special harness could be put into it so when the person lets go, they will be caught and will be lowered to the ground. Oh, and did I mention that the ride would be SPINNING? There could also be a challenge where they would have to answer trivia about rides and attractions, visit that ride and ride it, and then pick up the next clue at the exit. Of course, this would be going on with guests around, making the challenges even harder! Quote

I was just commenting that your set up and description is exactly mirrored of the show The Real World. They actually did a stunt just like that from the Space Needle. Each person gets a track, and first person to run down the track and back to the station wins, they do that tournament style until only one person remains, and he wins. Quote

You always see Six Flags and Disney, but no Paramount Park. I would really like to see that.... I think the show they do it on is called Secrets! or something, I am not sure. I saw both Brady Bunch movies from the 1990s and think that a third filmed at PKI would be great. And I've seen travel Travel specials on Cedar Point, Paramout's Kings Dominion, Dollywood.......but never PKI. Hey Travel Channel - do a show on PKI and interview me, the author of The Unofficial Guidebook to Paramount's Kings Island, in the show. Okay??? Quote

Heh, shameless plug, nice! Seriously, they need to film one at PKI. It's such a great park, and it needs to get more exposure than it does! If they do film a show there, I would be perfect for one of those guys riding the ride and narrating what the riders are doing, I do that alot on FoF and SoB anyways! lol. Quote

The Rugrats would be awsome in it... and the Thornberrys would be pretty cool too for it, since we have The Beast! Of course, they could just make a live action film for the R.L. Stein books about The Beast. Has anyone read them? I really do need to go buy them and read them, just for the heck of it. We have plenty of things that could be filmed at PKI, I mean Paramount itself owns a lot of things, but so does Viacom, our parent company. All it would take is some persuasive letter writing to a producer of a show to see what happens. Maybe even Jeff involved? Quote

I have to say that they are definately for kids (I was around 8 or 7 at the time), and probablly really stupid unless you are a diehard fan. It's really not as cool as you think it would be, since the only thing they talk about is The Beast, you get the feeling it was the name and that it could have been anywhere. They were some good books that I liked reading when I was younger, but wouldn't get near them anymore. Also, the second one was pretty bad. Quote
