Nivekeryas
As for B&M, a good B&M is indeed fun and smooth. I wholeheartedly approve of them, however I still believe Intamin to be better.
UnrealNightmare
I would prefer this to be a B&M. IMO dive machines, launch coasters, shuttle coasters and fliers are all just gimmicks. I however feel that inverted coasters have surpassed the level of gimmick and should be represented at KI. Well said Dave! Except the part about flyers! Manta is amazing! I also feel we should get an invert, but a really big invert or one that uses the terrain.
XGatorHead 8904
You should fit both....if you can ride Diamondback, you should fit both... Terpy, who once had experience with such things... Let's hope I do. I've recounted my tale of disappointment at CP many times here, but that occured in 2003 or 2004... whichever year it was that Intamin tightened their restrictions. That was the last time I've tried to ride an Intamin coaster... until next month. If I don't fit, at least this time I'll have a more positive attitude about it than I did at CP (since I now know why the changes were made, and I didn't when I walked up to Millie that day years ago). There's plenty of other rides I can fit on at Hersheypark!
KIBeast
TTD, Wicked Twister, Millienium, Maverick all have reliability issues, all at CF park Cedar Point to be exact. Maverick is by no means "smooth". I honestly find Vortex, Son of Beast, Beast, and Adventure Express, less painful than Maverick. BTW I love Maverick it is in my top 5 Their reliability is pretty good and getting better from what I have heard and know. TTD, Millennium, Wicked Twister all run pretty well. Not sure about Maverick. I heard it had issues the first year, but not sure about now.
Beast1979
After all that I did yesterday at KI, having fun for 8 hours and riding only 1 Intamin, I can honestly say no, Kings Island does NOT need an Intamin. Granted, they are good rides, but they are hard to maintain and a lot of them can be gimmicks. I do, however, believe Kings Island needs more B&M's. KI has a great lineup of rides, don't get me wrong, but it is rather outdated and could use some modern fun. B&M is a perfect example. Diamondback is an epic success, it's almost always up and is extremely fun. It's wildly popular (Don't even think of saying where's your proof, 1,000,000 riders by August is pretty darn popular!) and a great addition to KI. More B&M's would do the park wonders. Think of how well a B&M Invert or Floorless would do. I would love to see more B&M investments at Kings Island.
RailRider
^ I could not agree more. More B&M at KI would be very welcome by me. I say take the Busch approach.

Their fantastic reliability must be why part of the WT track had to be taken off in the off season to be repaired, and the MF cable snapped after the season had begun? KIBeast
I missed the part about the WT track. However, a cable breaking on MF is something that has been happening for a while. CP always seem to have an extra on hand and it's back up in a day.
Beast1979
^When Millennium Force's cable broke in late may, it was down for over a week I believe.
KYCavsFan
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LV4iNtN-3ZU This looks like a lot of fun. I don't know but I like gimmicks when it comes to coasters.
Fear the Four
If Kings Island got a Intamin I would like it to be similar to Maverick.

Your kidding aren't you? That ride looks like a cross between X2 & kiddie coaster. If CF based a decision off of X2s maintenance history there would be no way another 4d will be built. Tchu
Furius Baco isn't a 4-D coaster and has one of the most intense launches on a coaster in the world. While I've not heard that its a particularly spectacular coaster, I certainly think it'd be worth a spin and don't view it as a X2/kiddie coaster of any sort. And I'm definitely in agreement about the park needing more B&M coasters. While I would love an Intamin along the lines of Maverick, I think a B&M Invert is the sort of coaster the park is most in need of. High reliability, great capacity, excellent rides. Montu is easily one of my favorite coasters, and Dueling Dragons is excellent as well.

The launch looks amazing and the ground hugging nature of the ride is supposed to give you a greater sense of speed. I know we're all spoiled by 4 minute ride times but we just got a traditional hyper coaster. I would like to see something unique. If it's going to be an Intamin something like Maverick or one of these winged riders.

TTD-120-420
I think they need an Intamin. If they did get a new B&M it would be a Inverted. Floorless coasters' popularity has died down, so KI doesn't need one. An Intamin like Ispeed would be the best thing KI could invest in. KIFAN!
I really didn't like Intamins but now I love them. Especially riding in the back of Mellenium, Maverick, and WT. I love them. But, I really would love to see the next coaster (however long that may be) a Dive Machine. I just don't see a Maverick like coaster going in anywhere. (as much as i do like Maverick.) I have this fantasy of a new kind of a B&M Dive Machine that is more than 90 degress like 93-97 degress or something and it being located in X-base with neon green paint and black supports. Just a fantasy......
