rotag
welcome back to another exciting adventure into ki. this trip was mostly based on me getting another night ride on The Beast. after being on here the night before i got ready to go in to pull another third shift at the circle k #28. i ended up getting of of work at 8am and went home for a quick shower. after putting on my ki attire i was out the door around 8:30am. i called tom{76257} to see if he was going, he said sorry he had to go job huntin and help his mom around the house. then i thought i would give angie {giga} a call but realized i didnt have her # and she had went two days prior acording to other tr. i showed up at the park around 10am. stoped by guest relations and found out that the drink wristbands were stopped on may 31st. the lines were massive due to spirit song concert that i had honestly forgot about. i mad my first ride db like always and while going up the lift hill was talking with this group who was having there first ride ever. i gave them sugestions for the most awsome exp. but the were like no-way, im hanging on for dear life. after getting off i mosed on down to the crypt and was seated next to more first time riders. then i made my way on over to shake, rattle, & roll. i then went passed the arcade where i saw their doors closed. i made my way to fof and saw a full que so i went back out to the midway. so then i went on over to outer hanks and got a mixed drink to chill on. i got to talkin with the bartender and a guest about the park. the guest had one too many cause he kept ordering food and trying to dominate the conversation. then i relized i need some food since the last thing i ate was 18 hours prior so i went over to the festhaus for some mediocre pizza and over priced fountain drink. i mean come on if i work at a gas station and they can charge $0.75 after tax for a fountain that is the same size in a styrofome [sp?] cup, then why cant they?! then i went to endless summer on ice. texted zak{skaterboy} to see if he was there, he said no. i like the show but still think scooby is overplayed. he draws too much attention away from the show. plus scooby doesn't steal pic-a-nik baskets. furthermore when they mention scoobypalooza, i am expecting hippy music from the 60's and 70's not elton john renditions. then i went to the tower. i like the crew they got for them. not really sure if i was flirting with abbey, or if abbey was flirting with me, or if it was a mutual flirtation. pluss i found out from her that she lives by my favorite flea-market in monroe, oh. i noticed there was a lot of people mistaking one ride for another and slapping the word "the" in front of all the rides. ex. The Racers, The Vortex, the sd&hc, the blsc. the Invertigo, the Drop Tower, the db, the flight deck. i can continue but i aint gonna.{takes of krusty krab hat and slings it to the ground and hops on bubble bike.} this tr will be continued in a little cause i have to go somewhere and i will pic up when i get back... rotag
...sorry about that folks we now bring you back to the rest of this tr. i went back down and i found my saving grace in racer, where i did blue side twice, following up with red side twice. then i went over to ae. the last three trips i made i didnt see my little asian buddy working. one of the ops must have been having a bad day cause she got on people like every 5 sec's to the point where it was just funny. and for some strange reason i felt like mr. on ride discusion guy like they have for those thrill ride shows where they tell you about the ride. then i rode flight deck. i was almost a single when a guy asked if he could ride and i said sure. on the way up i was talking to him and found that he has visited the kic site but never reads the forums. then i went over to The Beast and waited. once off the ride i swaggered my way over to fof and waited some more. then once i got on in the very back with a single skinny girl riding catty cornered in the seat in front. i think that lead to a ride that bounced me all over but it was still worth it. then i went back to racer and by this time they only had red runnin. so i rode twice and while waiting in line was mentioning to a guest about the fun little facts about the ride and also directed her to this website for more info. then i went back to the tower and decided to go back down due to the crowd. i went over to larosa's in rivertown. then off to The Beast. got off and went to get back in line again where i was the last train before the fireworks shutdown. then i got in line so i could get one more night ride in. i started to jockey my way in the line to try and get the last train of the night. while waiting i was talking to random people about the park history and refered them to this site for more info. then i thought i had done it but to have only messed up and got second to last train of the night{internally screams nnnnnnoooooo!!!} in the back row middle seat cause i reffuse to sit over the wheels. as i made my way to the front i noticed the park has a different atmosphere at nite with no-one around but the nightly clean-up crew and some security personel. on the way home i was so exhausted that i had to stop in harison at the sunoco for two full-throttle blue aguave flavored energy drinks, and a chicken ring combo from the white castle next door. i made it long enough to get to the rest stop then had to catch a quick snooze. i somehow made it home but dont remeber some of the trip from the rest stop - home. that scares me now that i think about it since that is batesville to shelbyville. overall an excellent trip. Hoeter
Thanks for sharing! It was very busy when we went on Tuesday. A Kid Again was having an event at the park. Looks like Spirit Song will continue tomorrow (Saturday) as well, so if anyone is planning to make a trip to KI, large crowds are possible. indyhoosier
I envy you. I went with my wife & kids yesterday and all I got to ride was The Beast, Racer, and Delirium. I have to go back to ride DB! Got in line and the kids saw it was an hour wait and started the complaining lol. My 12 yo daughter won't ride any coasters but I did get my 11 yo son to get his first taste of The Beast and Racer, so that was cool. Ki Man
I'm not doubting you or anything, but they stopped the drink wristbands? Because I could have sworn I saw someone riding with a wristband on. One of those skinny, white with the barcode wristbands. Maybe he saved it and tried to get it to work his return trip. If they stopped them, I wish they would bring them back. I'm sure they still give them to certain groups and such, but I assume he means that you can't buy them from GR anymore.
violakat03
Yes, they stopped the wristbands. You can only get them if you are part of a group and the group buys them. If you saw someone with one, chances are they were a member of a group.
