July 11, 200917 yr All right Im going to heading to Cedar Point in the next month and I want to book my hotel. I have been to Khalari but it was kind of far and I think Castaway might be overpriced. Where is a good close place to stay at.
July 11, 200917 yr There is a place roughly 1/2 block from Cedar Pt Drive called South Shore Inn. Reasonable rates, decent hotel... some Friends in a different type of enthusiast group I belong to used to hold shin-digs there and it was always a decent place for/to us. Addy is 2047 Cleveland Rd, and the url is: http://www.southshoreinn.com
July 11, 200917 yr Check out Seacrest Motel. Rooms average about $60 per night during the peak season which isn't bad. It's about 3 miles from CP. The rooms aren't fancy but they are clean. There is an outdoor pool. The owner, Vicky, is a real sweetie.
July 11, 200917 yr Great Wolf Lodge is a great place. It's quieter and cheaper than the one in Mason. And it's very close.
July 11, 200917 yr All of the indoor waterpark hotels are going to be very pricey. I usually camp out at the Bayshore Estates campground, but I've also stayed at the Travelodge. It's a couple miles away, but closer than Kalahari. The price was very good and the room was really nice. The breakfast left something to be desired, but I didn't have much room to complain with how cheap the room was.
July 13, 200917 yr Author I stayed at south sore inn one time and I was truely disapointed in it. I dont really need a water park since Im only going two days. Anyone stay at Breakers or Breakers express?
July 13, 200917 yr Our last trip we stayed at Maples Motel. It is about 4 miles from the park if you go in the back way. It is not the nicest place in the world but very cozy and is a place to sleep cheap. http://www.maplesmotel.com/
July 13, 200917 yr I stayed at south sore inn one time and I was truely disapointed in it. I dont really need a water park since Im only going two days. Anyone stay at Breakers or Breakers express? I've stayed at Breakers Express. Very, very nice hotel, and close to Cedar Point. It IS a little pricey, but you get clean, quiet rooms that are very comfortable. Plus, when you stay there, you get early entry passes and can do the 1 hour ERT!
July 14, 200917 yr If you are not worried about price then stay at the Breakers. Get a lake view or lake front room and you will not be dissapointed. Truly a historic gem and it just adds to the experience at Cedar Point, especially staying there during Haloweekends. Breakers Express is a great place to stay and is fairly affordable. Sand Castle Suits is quite nice as well, but if staying on the point, stay at the Breakers. Honestly I dont think the Cedar Point resorts can be beat, they are just a notch above everyone else in Sandusky.
