XGatorHead 8904
You're better off asking Human Resources, since they coordinate the applications, hiring, etc. And while I was looking at the park's website, I happened across this: http://www.visitkingsisland.com/jobs/jobs_....cfm?emp_id=546. Apparently applications are already being accepted for scaracters.
Diamondback FOF
So should I ask guest realtions? Yes. If you have any questions regarding employment or any other thing to do with the park (hours, admission, etc.), you should always call the park at: (800) 288-0808 (that is guest relations) . Edit: Gator beat me to it. That webpage says to call them (I guess Human Relations?) at 513-754-5748.

XGatorHead 8904
^The Human Resources office, which is located to the right of the front gate. If you're in the parking lot and looking towards the park, to the right of the front gate area is a security gate/employee's entrance and just to the right of that is Human Resources, kind of near the VIP and associate parking areas. And rotag, about your "From" comment under your avatar... what exactly does that mean? You're making me self-conscious! Gator, suddenly wondering if I swagger whenever I'm at the park! RingMaster
Yeah, seeing a 15-year-old work the Haunt is like seeing a pig fly. Considering the very strict hours they have for minors in the summer alone (they can only work til 8), it's almost a guarantee 15-year-olds can't work for an event that ends at one in the morning, even if it is on a Friday night. But on a lighter note, it's good to hear that a new maze is arriving for this year. I'm willing to bet Nick Theater/Putz HQ is the location for it after the kids' Halloween event (and the Cowpie show originally in Nick Theater) was moved over to the Grove. But I really hope CarnEVIL is the one that leaves or is replaced; that is without a doubt the worst one of the lot and hasn't received any TLC since its inception back in '01. goofywdw
I might try and do day shifts where I'm at now and night shifts in the Haunt. I know people who did that last year. It looks like it would be very very fun.

O.o someone must have skipped the scare zones..... that and if you take into account how many ppl are ACTUALLY scared of clowns... this ones stupendous! or at least at wall of monsters it is
goofywdw
I thought Carnevil was my favorite! I hate clowns and the clwns makeup and stuff with the 3D glasses made it cool. The room with the dots where the guys were like invisible against the walls was also cool. The scariest part to me was the evil looking clowns whether it was just pictures our actual people in maks they scared me. I thought it was pretty fun. My least favorite was the one where you had to ride the train back to get in line (don't remember the name). It was very obvious where everyone was hiding (behind the crates right in the view of the guest) and wasn't very scary.
violakat03
^ Yeah, I thought the train haunt was pretty lame. There were very few people getting the surprise scare. When will people learn that saying "scary" things to people isn't the least bit scary? I wouldn't mind working during Haunt this year, but not as a scareactor. I've worked at haunted trails for over 5 years and from what I've seen, KI's Haunt is a little too structured for my taste. I like having a strong say in where I go and what I do. RailRider
Seriously considering putting in an application for this. Can anyone who has worked haunt previously tell me what the typical hours are to work? Also is it just minimum wage or a little better because of the hours. Just curious. Thanks

However, my niece found it quite frightening and was crying by the time we got through the entire 'maze'.

Diamondback FOF
For those of you that worked FearFest last year or in years past, what was the hourly wage? If you don't want to say exactly or can't remember, just give an appoximate. Also, did you get a say in how many hours you worked, or did you work from 7 pm until 1 am? Thanks!
