Tom76257
I can't NOT separate wood and steel or else I'd be going back and forth about placement like a maniac! Anyways... Steel: 1. Maverick 2. Diamondback 3. Firehawk 4. Raptor 5. Vortex Wood: 1. The Voyage (overall favorite) 2. The Legend 3. The Beast 4. Son of Beast 5. Thunder Run I've been known to update #5 in both categories when I actually go back and analyze the rides I've been on. Ask me in a month and I might have a different lineup. violakat03
Like Tom, I cannot combine wood and steel any longer. These may be changing after this week. Wood (Wood first because woodies are my favorite): 1. The Voyage (also overall #1) 2. Prowler 3. El Toro 4. The Legend 5. The Beast Steel: 1. Diamondback 2. Millennium Force 3. Flight of Fear 4. Top Thrill Dragster 5. Volcano: The Blast Coaster

DaveStroem
Rustbelt, I don't see Raptor on your inverted list. Have you ridden it, or didn't rate it as high? To me, it was much better then Alpengeist. Which Bizzaro are you referring to as your #1 SFNE?
KI Kevin
I don't know this for sure, but I think he is referring to SFNE, due to the fact that it isn't in his floorless section.

Rustbucket
Rustbelt, I don't see Raptor on your inverted list. Have you ridden it, or didn't rate it as high? To me, it was much better then Alpengeist. Which Bizzaro are you referring to as your #1 SFNE? I have been on Raptor over 500 times. Obviously, I like it. I do not know if I like it more than Alpengeist or Talon. Alpengeist seemed so much faster than Raptor. I thought Talon was more compact and much more intense than Raptor. Keep in mind that I am a back seat rider for these. I hate that banging at the end of Raptor. Bizarro was from SFNE. I rode that this year. I will say that was a near perfect coaster for speed, air time and lateral.
bsktgrvy
5. Thunder Run - SFKK - I remember this as being pretty fast. 4. Vortex 3. Lightning Racers - Hershey Park 2. The Racer 1. The Beast Can you tell I am partial to wood coasters? I have also had a ride on "Raven" at Holiday World but after riding it wondered how such a short ride could be considered one of the best. It was fun, but seemed to be over in no time.
gigacoaster2k
This past weekend, I really gave it some thought. I made a top 5 based on flats, woodies, and steelies from all parks I've been to. So here is my combined top 5. 1. Voyage at Holiday World 2. Skyscraper at Cedar Point 3. Diamondback at Kings Island 4. Raptor at Cedar Point 5. Maverick at Cedar Point
KI Kevin
^Wow, I always thought Millie was your favorite. And I completely agree, Skyscraper is amazing. My dad and I rode it 3 times, no hands. Easily the 4th best flat ride ever.
coasterguy15
Hard decisions, but here goes: 1. Voyage 2. Diamondback 3. Millennium Force 4. Magnum XL 200 5. Space Mountain - Magic Kingdom WDW I have Space Mountain at #5 because it was quite a thrill to me back when I rode it first. It was so dark in the building that I had no idea when a turn or drop was coming. That gave me quite a thrill.
